This song is great and true in places like florida where I live nobody knows that us ranchers are here. Mr. LeDoux shall be missed I still remember the year he died at the Arcadia Rodeo before the barebacks they announced the great tragedy. God bless this man who through the pain and toucher of rodeo life over came it all and became the 1976 bareback champion of the world Chris LeDoux. And for anyone who wants to know read Gold Buckle Dreams the Rodeo life of Chris LeDoux.
My family grew with Chris Ledoux I'm still listen to them as my family has grown and left home.God bless this cowboys family .This Cowboy has given, one day I hope to tell him thank you Chris.

When the last of America's ranches have been parceled and sold, and all that's left of our true western heritage is a cowboy and his quarterhorse cast in bronze, collecting dust in a museum somewhere in Cheyenne, there will be a plaque beneath that bronze statue that reads...... ''GOOGLE CHRIS LEDOUX'' ......... We miss you Chris
My brother just died and asked that I use this song at his memorial. Can't seem to find a downloadable version. Where did you find yours? Could you please share it with me? Thanks so much!
Wyoming's favorite son is sorely missed. When all of America's ranches have been parceled and sold, and all that remains of the west and the cowboy's way of life is nothing but a bronze statue gathering dust in a museum somewhere in Wyoming, of a cowpoke on his quarterhorse... There will be a footnote on a plaque beneath that statue that reads --- GOOGLE CHRIS LEDOUX
I sang this song at a gathering, and credited Chris Ledoux with writing it and had some folks tell me that another guy wrote the song. Can anybody tell me who actually wrote this song Ridin' Fences?
Chris was my friend and a true a man as ever lived. Nothing phony about Chris. Kaycee was pretty close to heaven. Sang from his heart and his life. Nothing better than that. See you soon, Chris.
I really like his music and hate that he is gone but this song is some comfort to that. Somewhere out there there is another singer who will sing these types of songs we just can't see him from the road.
hey sonraman i know how it feels im only 20 years old but i was raised on250 acer a farm. im off to college now and i miss the hell out of waking up before the rooster crows and feeding the horses and checking cows before school. we were bairly making making but i loved it,
Lucky bastard! Im off to college now and I hate living in a town. I only grew up on 11 acres but I loved it! I swear I was born a century and a half too late
I just have to say again, this is one of the best videos I have ever seen. I've adopted this as my personal theme song! I'm one of the last real professional horsemen who actually does this stuff for a living! Long Live The Horseman!
They'll never replace the cowboy with a machine because there's nothing out there that can take more abuse! I worked cattle from horseback for many years. Now I teach hoity-toity easterners how to ride dressage and jump fences in a show ring. God damn...I wish I could go back to riding fences and still make enough money to survive.
I'm asking all Chris LeDoux fans to call their radio station to request his music on March 9th. It will be 4 years since he passed away. Let radio know that we will NEVER forget this great man. Please pass this on to all country music fans.
This is one great song! Now check out "The Ghost of Chris LeDoux".
