In retrospect, it's kind of disgusting to watch this. It's KEN SHAMROCK, who at that point was legitimately titled the WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS MAN. And they WON'T ACT LIKE HE'S A THREAT. They won't even act like they're SECRETLY scared of him. They totally, 100%, mock him. Then Slaughter comes out, who in storyline is their BOSS, and they MOCK him. Not only does NONE of this make ANY sense, Slaughter and Shamrock eventually jobbed to them. Why buy that show and who was satisfied by it? No one.

Also, the story lasted because the Kliq had backstage clout, not necessarily because the fans wanted it.

That's why I don't think Rick Rude is as tough as his friends claim.
