  • He is most certainly the KING...

  • nick cave was hot when he was young <3

  • @Purerockband youre dad rocks!

  • page one of these comments and i've seen Ian Curtis, Jim Morrison, Iggy pop and the Horros mentioned. DERP ITS NICK CAVE. SURE THERE MAYBE INFLUENCED BUT ITS NOT THAT SIMILAR. GIVE UP GUIZ.

  • do they have any actual songs? lmao

  • mick harvey looks incredibly bad ass in this vid

  • iamtheking...iamtheking....I AM THE king...IAMTHEking...IAMTHEking!!!!!!!!!

  • now i know where the horrors came from

  • Or maybe like Denis Levant, the guy who used to be in Leos Carax's films, doing Jim Morrison. "I am a king"--I am the Lizard King?

  • Like Iggy Pop crossed with Ian Curtis.

  • My all time fav band!! This takes me back!!

  • pew pew how do you do?...fuckin bassman par excellance...

  • Rowland sounded awsome live, they were my fav band in the early 80s,greatest aussie beer barn shows ever

  • Great!!! Ultraclassic dark postpunk era. Damn !! Ilove this band. The best !!! Rowland S. Howard RIP.

  • that's nick cave not Rowland S. Howard

  • @genoto No... It's both Nick Cave and Rowland S. Howard; he's the guitarist on the left....

  • @karmamothra yeah you'r right, but i whose talking about who whose singing :)

  • God damn, what a magnificent bastard Rowland S. Howard was!!

  • I was singing this at family dinner tonight. (as a passing anecdote)

  • That's funny as hell!

  • Esse cara é igualzinho ao Sandman do Neil Gaiman.

  • no one plays a rickenbacker as sexily as tracey. hahaha

  • RIP Tracy Pew.

Yeah, I remember the Lydia Lunch split disc. Still have it along with most of TBP's releases. Sadly, I never got to see the band play live but I did get to see Nick open for The Cramps in '84 and again in '86. Yeah, I'm old. LOL!

  • whoever thought blixa was in the birthday party should be shot now

  • Blixa was in the Birthday Party on the last EP, Mutiny, but not in this line up, but I know what you are getting at :)

  • yeah he helped on like a song or two it slipped my mind thanks for the refresher

  • thats not blixa thats rowland s howard ,blixa wasnt in the birthday party

  • @wiseblood90 blixa is a very ordinary rock n roll guitarist, this aint blixa your right, its rowland with his screaming fender jaguar and twin reverb fender amp

  • @wiseblood90 in the dude's defence, rowland had messy hair, wore all black and played a fender jaguar...and he looks like blixa from a distance...and blixa did play with the birthday party a few times before they dissolved and nick started the bad seeds.

  • @wiseblood90 "The One and only" Rowland S, Howard <3

  • Lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllovely ~!

  • Traceys finest moment... Blixa, beatin fuck outta that instrument and saint Nick howlin over the top... Junkyard Kings

  • Yes this is the song I seach since 15 min

  • DimondLight, welcome to punk!

  • Nick in TBP was the best...

  • sex

  • shut it you slag the fact you didnt actually know this was cave just shows you up as a casual fan of nicks work at best

  • @ahantabarzin Wow, your complete lack of knowledge offends me

  • @finnvoxal I guess your own lack of knowledge should offend you more then. Nick Cave is the singer. Rowland S. Howard is the guitarist. You are the ignorant one.

  • Comment removed

  • @karmamothra

Huh? I didn't say anything about Cave or Howard, I was referring to the drug comment/ all their negative comments on the song without even knowing who it was and how it was implied that this song sucked...

    Confusion much?

  • @finnvoxal Also, damn laptop clicking on buttons without consent, such as the remove button...

  • That is Nick Cave you stupid.

  • Hurrah for the Birthday Party! Music to make most people feel totally uncomfortable! Genius!

  • Is he saying honey or horny?

  • honey

  • tracy pews outfit is so effing amazing. who else could pull off a gay pirate look and still look kind of tough.

  • wow, that was insane. I've never even heard of these guys before.

  • I would recommend buying every album the Birthday Party and the Bad Seeds put out, in consecutive order, up to and including the Boatmans Call. Quite a run!

  • increibles!!!!!! excelente banda.

  • nick cave es brutal... bien

  • awesome stuff, their live stuff is better than their studio

  • nick cave at his best

    pure sex and angst

  • Wow!!! i didn't know nick cave was in a band before forming the bad seeds

  • 1.The Boys Next Door 2.The Birthday Party 3.Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 4.Grinderman

  • I have the Lp from this song!!!

  • This is fucking brilliant!!!

Thanks so much for the pleasure!!

Love The Birthday Party but sadly never got to see them live.

Anyone remember the split live 12" they did with Lydia Lunch called Drunk On The Pope's Blood? Amazing!!

  • Great Song

  • Forgotten how great the Birthday Party were live. Ah, memories of seeing them as a support band to Bauhaus at the Liverpool Royal Court Theatre back in '82?.
