@paintballgundown8 Or if you're part of the working class and have 1000 bucks to use towards a killer stereo system, you can get the two twelves in an amazing box with amp around 500, and then get a nice stereo for 200, and get some decent 6x9s and 6" to follow up. Thats what I did. two 12" cvr kickers 400w each, with a hifonics brutus 1600w amp running 2ohms @ 600w RMS per sub, with a pioneer stereo and some pioneer speakers in front and back. only cost me around 800 bucks, self install. :D

@tilxGH sweet. however most the people i know just get a amp with a big speaker in the trunk. Sure it might sound better than what their car had before but they still keep the stock system throughout the rest of their car.

I like stereos in cars to be clear and have a clean sound. Maybe I'm the car guy who prefers to spend money on engine and performance mods. I prefer engine sound over music and to me thats music. I don't understand the need for TV or play station in a car nor to exceed what your eardrums can safely handle. So to each is own but for me YUK!

I think it's a greater challenge to integrate the car audio and still provide functionality of the vehicle. It doesn't take a clever person to jam every square inch of available space with subs and amps.
