I think perhaps I'm a saint. I fed, gave water, clothed, and visited a stranger. I tell everyone, "Tis Better to give than to receive". But, how do I get my name in the bible now?

@charlesfloyb So, I listened to the lecture and it sounds like I'm on my way to being a saint, even though I'm an atheist. Is it theoretically possible tor an atheist to become a saint?

@charlesfloyb You could suffer from ignorance - not having studied the Church enough to properly understand what you are doing by not believing in Christ. All normal means - studying Scripture and the writings of the Church, praying, meditating, asking for advice from those who already are spiritually inclined - should result in you understanding why you cannot be both an atheist and a saint, and therefore result in your genuine conversion.

@charlesfloyb If you don't at least try to understand God, you are likely culpable of vincible ignorance - ignorance which can be overcome if you apply yourself. If I understand it correctly, the less of an effort you make, the more harshly God punishes it (He has more than Hell, you know. There's purgatory, too. And the same goes for all sins, not just atheism.)
