Wimmer's a good driver. He actually led under green in his very first Cup start. He needs better equipment than he got at Bill Davis Racing and Morgan-McClure Motorsports.
I don't think you make it to Cup by sucking. Most, if not all the drivers in Cup have the potential to win with a team they have chemistry with. And drivers that rarely find success in Cup deserve credit for sticking it out.
Nice vid with the amount of time u see the 4 in a race... fighting for 40th and getting passed on the outside at martinsville isnt sumthin to be proud of but everyone got there own driver even the little teams so its good to see some ppl care
Wimmer's one of the nicest and friendliest guys on the circuit. It's a shame that he hasn't had the equipment to show off his real talent. Bill Davis and Morgan-McClure are bottom-feeder teams. Maybe with RCR, he'll do better. I'm proud to say that I'm a fan, I've been following him since 2000.

You dont see Brian Vickers, Jamie Mcmurry or Scott Riggs with any wins do you. Take a look at Wimmers stats in the Busch Series and tell me what you think of him. All he needs is a ride like Tony Stewarts and I bet you that he can win a championship!
do you know what you're talking about? Jamie McMurray set the record by winning in his 2nd Nextel Cup race, LMS,'02. Jamie McMurray has had great seasons right off the bat in Cup. He's '03 Rookie of the year. In '04 if the old points system would have been in effect, Jamie McMurray would have finished 4th in the overall standings. If you don't think thats great, then you really do know nothing about racing.

Yeah people underestimate McMurray. He had 3 solid seasons at Ganassi, always ran in the top 15-20, sometimes in the top 10, and should have had more than 1 win probably.

I think Wimmer has done a good job with what he has gotten in Nextel Cup Racing so far, now with RCR. He can re-prove himself again as a contender.

Go Wimmer! I have been a huge fan of his since 2001. Yes Wimmer has fans, beleive it or not, there are some people who don't jump bandwagons.
