Hi I have just started playing golf and continue to hit the ball with it drifting right after looking like it is going straight could this coiling and keeping hips straight help?
Just found you Mark, started 4 months a go and have been playing the best I can without paying for coaching, have just managed to crack 50 on the local 9 hole golf course, just downloaded GOLF your great iPhone app, will keep you posted how I get on and may send a vid or two, keep up the good work. John
Mark, thank you so much. This is the simplest, best drill I have found for not dropping the club under the shaft plane. I have really never heard any one speak about NOT turning the hips. I can really feel the resistence in the lower body and ,y weight shifts much easier on the way back. Now I need to work on starting the knees and hips down first to get some power back.
Hi Mark, The other day I started shanking 'em. To solve it I thought about applying EQUAL force with both hands / both arms at impact. It worked. Is that a fluke or does that seem like a sound fix?
Hi mark love the vids. Any chance of a tip on how to look at the ball at address. I was looking down the shaft at the ball and found it gave me a very high ball flight. I have now been looking more behind the club head and found alot more greens in regulation.nobody seems to talk about this simple setup. Cheers mate.
I agree with the X Factor approach. But show this to Shawn Clement-he will get really annoyed and call you everything under the sun. I got into a right argument about this area. He along with a few other teachers promote complete hip opening on the backswing. To me that seems crazy-promotes an overswing and lack of consistency. Im with you on this Mark.......but please do something about the mat!!!!!!
Would this not increase the chance of injury? How would you argue that Bubba Watson is the longest driver on the pga tour and he has an enormous hip turn?
mark would you consider this the One Piece Takeaway? Also can you demonstrate the saying of keeping the club outside your hands in the backswing? THANKS

Mark,
Great videos in general. Can you discuss what happens from the time you are done starting your downswing to the point of impact? Thanks

Mark I was wondering in your back swing once you coil if the hands are passive at the top and through to impact? Great video

Mark,
You do a great job of explaining everything! Do you teach workshops in the states?
