if you use the weapon for assassinations (i.e. the proper way to use it) then the instant kill effect is moot :)

I respect the video for trying to inform people, but its misleading you do 30xDMG and instant kill anyway without the Razor as long as you got the perks in stealth.. Everything needed is in stealth; sneak , backstab, and assassinate blade, so your going to 1 hit kill any creature, humanoid,etc..(except dragons) as long as you sneak up on them. Which make the dagger decisively useless, now "Valdr's Lucky Dagger" (25% crits) is more like it and useful.

@laxgoalie494 Shadow warrior sneaking + 1 hit killing with a dagger almost always results in cut throat animation. Just try being up close with a powerful dagger. (whilst sneaking)

@bryan79235 For the razor to one hit kill, no. It's enchantment allows for a 1 hit kill even when not in sneak. This is quite rare though.

How horrible is your one-handed skill? I upgraded my Mehrune's Dagger to Flawless and with my one-handed skill I got it up to 56 damage and 3 weight. I'm going to try to get some smithing potions and gear and see if I can get it up to Legendary (for some reason it only goes to Flawless even though I have 100 smithing skill)

I got 30x damage by having the sneak perk combined with my Dark Brotherhood Gauntlets which give me 2x 1-handed sneak damage.
