I started p90x after watching tommy mygrant and after my 2nd week i found your video. I watch this almost every day atleast once. I'm nearly on phase 3 and just coming on this video reminds that its possible for me to lose all my fat and get healthy. thank you again
nice job man.. Just finished day 30 tonight with a total of 9 lbs lost wich was kind of disapointing but then I looked at my day 1 pic and the pic I took tonight and yeah, definitely a change..
I thank you JeremyYost. Seriously because of you and people like you are the reason why im on the P90X program. i weigh about 280-290 lbs about 5'7 and on 23 years old. and my only goal is to get ripped and get down to 180 or 170. thanks for the inspiriation Jeremy. Seriously thank you very much.
hey hey! Have you heard about - fast abs magic (do a google search)? Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin got amazing 6 pack abs and lost crazy amounts of fat with it.
Hey Jeremy how tall are you? I started at 301 and I am down to 272 and still in the middle of the second phase. People are already noticing the differences on my body.
Brother i want to ask this that did you started p90x direct or you did p90 first ? i am not that fat really i am like see your round 2 done picture after picture i am like that so should i start p90x i see on beachbody sites that there are so many transformation but there is no one is mentioning that they have starting p90x right away i am confuse that when i check on beachbody in p90x page they say do p90x you will get ripped but when i ask someone they say you are not ready first do p90 :( ?
when u weigh over 300lbs u can lose weight so easily cuz ur body shouldn't be that fat. once you hit 240-220 is when it gets very hard. the only way i can get past it would be extreme dieting and constant exercise just to get normal weight. i guess ill just stay with the 15lbs extra weight....
@lynchinjesus You should look into the diet for the 4 hr body (slow carb diet). My bro is losing an average of 2 to 3 pounds a week. Right now he weighs 218. Its not an extreme diet and it works
Good stuff player. Yet another example of mind over matter. Plus you trying to help others...you'll get blessed for that. I'm in the process of trying to lose about 80 myself.
I'm 6'4'' and around 330 lbs and I finished a cycle of P90X last fall, going to be doing another one real soon. I, however, didn't see the weight loss that you did, I lost maybe 16 lbs in the 90 days, pretty discouraging.
WOW !! Congratulations That is so inspirational! Im on my way to reaching my goal as well I started out at 200 and now I weigh 182 reaching my 170 goal :)
I really like this video. I like the real approach & documentation. I wish I could do P90x myself. I had it for over 2 years already. Once i got started I was discouraged almost immediately because of old minor injuries I received while in the Army. And to mention the fact I cannot do a pullup at 280LBS. Good luck and I'm proud of you. I have to find a way to get this fat off my body. I wish I could just fight the pain and bust through the lack of performance. I'm open for any suggestions man!
@FortuneGranted3000 He talks alot about modified exercises in his blog. The guy was 370 when he started, there was no way he was going to be doing pullups out of the gate. Tony talks about some of the modded movements, Jeremy goes into much more detail.
thats beast, if you had just put the starting pic and the ending pic, i woulda seriously thought it was bullcrap and that you had just used pics of 2 entirely different people lol
I just started with the P90x Classic, and i'm eating 1060 calories per day, i eat my 3 main meals and i snack between meals, did you think i'm eating the correct calories? i'm 5'8 and 170lbs
Awesome job! I have been doing p90x for three weeks lost 14 pounds. I was watch your videos again today when my son went nuts watching apparently your his wrestling coach. Small world.
Holy shit dude amazing transformation u are a motivation to many people but 1 question, how are u going to get rid of all the stretched skin on your lower abdomen? Does it eventually disappear or is it permanent?
Excellent work, it helps others almost as much as it helped you, this will help somebody some where become dedicated and committed and they will achieve similar results.
indeed respect there man , i am not fat at all but i train my muscles 3 days a week. But what you just showed me in this video is that it doesnt matter how old or fat you are you can achieve this and resolve your problems by believing in it and finish the job. Thumbs up
@JeremyYost1 - Cool, thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking. I mean, your skin can't just be hanging off your muscles like that, right? It'd be like an air bubble there then.

Hey I bought p90x like 6 months back but never really started it cuz I felt like I couldn't do it n cuz I have a mess up ankle but after I seen ur transformation u inspired me to start ..respect dude respect to u ...
Wow, ya know... I really looked at your face, and you just have a better look to your face. More yourthful, and like you're ready for future challenges, Keep it up and take care.
Awesome results Jeremy..You are a perfect example of taking responsibility for your life and getting the results you desire. Well done..I'm doing the P90x workout combined with the joe weider bodybuilding program.
@codykeifer16 people are so quick to get confrontational and butt hurt on the internet. I'm not knocking the guy in the video or p90x. He obviously got great results and I have no doubt that p90x is an excellent program. All I said was that, for me, the program was no fun. I know enough about fitness to find other ways to stay healthy and have fun at the same time.
@codykeifer16 p90x is for people who enjoy it and get the results that they desire. I got good results in my 1st 30 days but I hated every second of it. I don't give up, I just don't do shit that I don't like doing. I've reached and maintained my health/weight goals by eating properly and living an active lifestyle. That means riding my bike to commute, hitting the gym 3x a week, playing basketball, and doing many other activities that are 10x more fun TO ME than p90x.
I have to be able to click Like button at least five times for this. I am doing my 30 day Bikram Yoga challenge this Feb but first day of March I am buying P90X. Jeremy, huge respect for such commitment and dedication, you're truly an inspiration to all the people who want to make a change. Your quote at the end perfectly embodies that!
i don't doubt that P90x works along with a strict diet. My issue is that I need my workouts to be fun in order to continue them. P90x is basically killing yourself everyday for an hour, and after 30 days of it I knew I couldn't sustain it. Find a diet that is based in fact and a workout regimen that you can realistically stick to and you can get in shape. Maybe not as fast as p90x but you will get results.
@gomarcphil p90x is only for people who don't give up, and want the best results, you obviously gave up to quick and the workouts are MAJORLY fun i don't know what your talking about lol
I am going to try and do a body transformation of my own i just got out of the US Army and Ballooned in weight i am not depressed and unhappy with the way my body looks, i look over to my wife and feel like i have cheated her. was always a big guy, then when she looks at pictures of guys with 6packs and looking good she says i should look like that and i feel like i will never get to that point or look like that
Jeremy, Thanks to your video you inspired me to do this again, first time I made excuses for myself. Now, its different, no matter what the pain, the struggle I press play every day. Thank you for this video, it hit home and made difference on my life, so far 11 days into it and down 7 lbs.
Wow thats amazing i admire you because im not on the skinny side or not even a good big
Right now im trying to lose my man boobs and belly to get fit for hockey and baseball because im still pretty athletic but i have bad eating habits but there comming to a stop im losing weight and gaining more muscle right now im140 but before in like december about a week before christmas i was 157. And im really happy for myself :)
You are the reason i finally clicked the "order" button on p90x and i got it in the mail tonight! Will be starting it in the morning after breakfast (which I will be making from the nutrition guide). I know that any time I am struggling I can come back to this video for inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your story with the world!
@RandomYouboober how is it going man? after a week it's tough to keep your determination... after 21 days it will be a habit... that's the way it goes for humans ;)
@ileanaperezinbliss That's plenty of time if you're really bringing it! (Also easier if you're a guy). But please don't get discouraged if you don't lose 55 more pounds - go by how your clothes fit and how rockin' your body looks. I'd love to see a video reply of your changes. Good luck!!!
Hey man! Just stopping by to let you know that you are a great inspiration to me! I'm currently 375 lbs (Just 5 pounds over your starting weight) and just starting to get my life on track. I ordered P90X yesterday and I'm so excited/nervous/anxious to start getting fit for the first time in my life! I'm 21 years old and have always been overweight. You're awesome, man!!
Ive lost 154 pounds so far. Im not using P90x though. Just eating less and exercising. This video has given me a lot of inspiration. If I ever need a little inspiration/motivation I like to watch this video. It is possible! Great job!!
I don't have 180 lbs to lose, but I am looking at a goal about 70 lbs away. I'm an endurance runner who got sick and had to take a lot of meds that cause weight gain for over a year then injured my neck just as I was beginning to try to get back in shape. I lost another year to that injury. So now I'm fat and very out of shape, and I don't want to risk injuring myself again. I have P90X but worry that I might need to start with Power 90. Any thoughts or suggestions?
@THEkiloniner Start with p90x and modify everything if it's too hard (that's what Tony Horton says to do anyway in the videos). Back when I barely started, I could only pull off about 50% of the total of what everyone was doing, but gradually I got better and I feel amazing for it.
Absolutely brilliant man, i'm starting my p90x in about a week, just waiting on the last of the equipment to arrive, i'm 24, bout 6'1'' and 250lbs, i'd say near 25%-30% body fat, i've already started (few weeks ago when i decided to do p90) the healthy eating, havent had junk food or anything like sweets since.
I'm really syked to get started and really get into it, and its brilliant to see success stories like this out there =D
hey man ... what did u eat on 1st round ... or what ever round was it ... can u just tell me ... pls ... I am going to start with p90x next week ... Thanks ...
I have the p90x nutrition guide but it sounds kind of confusing. Are there any more high protein cookbooks out there so I can diversify my diet with?, that is usually what temps me to start cheating. Finally, you lost a lot of weight in the span of a year. Just to be curious, how many calories were you taking each day?.
I don't want to make this sound rude or anything cuz I'm afraid ill have the same problem but were u able to just burn the fat? like the hanging belly and man boobs or did it take a surgery? I'm going to start my transformation tomorrow and thats the one thing i'm most self conscious about and i really don't want to go through surgery to get rid of it
@djpick604 You won't need surgery, the hanging fat is still fat and will go away over time, if your body is shrinking from huge proportions continue to lose weight and you will get the result.
Dumbest thing I've seen in a very very long time. Only an unprofessional will loose that much weight in such a short period of time. To all who value their health -> do not do this. Even loosing 10kg for 3-4 months is not good. I'm talking as a person who know a couple of guys, whose job is to examine professional sportsman and to make their diets. To loose that much fat you will need many years and not just a single one!
@rbaleksandar he looks pretty healthy to me, notice how muscular he comes? he's not crash dieting, when you are extremely overweight you can lose more fat in the same time frame.
@rbaleksandar "How" you do it can be dumb. Severe calorie restriction is dangerous and justs sets you up for long-term failure. I kept my calories near 2000 per day and worked out for 60 min per day. Thats it. I ate good, clean food and eliminated garbage. I will agree that is possible to lose weight the wrong way but until you know how a person did it, you don't have enough information to judge.
"How" you do it can be dumb -> this part I don't understand. And actually I do have information because I had a little on me too (with a little I mean 10kg above the normal BMI for my height (193cm)). All I did was to reduce the fat (was a huge fan of fat pizza, fried potatoes etc.), started doing my old routine (2-3 times swimming per week (for 2 hours each)), some more exercising and eating 5 times a time small meals -> after 6 months back in the game. ;)
@rbaleksandar He means if you starve yourself or take drugs to lose weight it's not healthy. And I would like a specific reason as to why losing weight the way he did is unhealthy. Give me a biological reason because I'd love to hear it.
Long version: As you know fat is an energy reserve. The amount in the fat-cells depends on 3 things - metabolism, physical activity and amount+type of consumed food.People get fat for different reasons but all go to these three basic things. If you loose fat too fast, your body will start starving (you might not notice that because of the stored fat-reserves).It will start burning fat to fill the gap (your usual piggishness :D)
@rbaleksandar Hope this info helps. If you don't believe me, open some medical books and read to your heart's content. ;) I am not a medic myself, but part of my family is and I also have friends, who know their sh@t.
@spartanman123 This "burning leads to two things - there are certain toxins that are stored in the fat cells (from alcohol, some meds etc.) If the fat-burning is too rapid, a big amount of toxins will be released across your body. If this amount is too big, you might get toxaemia. Which is bad.
Second thing that happens is that your body is under stress (again you might not notice it). It will 'remember' what you did to it.
@spartanman123 So next time you start eating like a pig (even for a short period of time), your body will say "I'd better conserve this fat and store it into my fat-cells, because who knows - he/she might f@ck with me again and that's something I don't like.". That's why people who have lost weight too fast, get fat and even fatter when they start eating more.
Healthy body=exercise (not over-exercise!) + healthy food + peaceful life (there is a saying: healthy mind, healthy body)
@rbaleksandar So what you just said is that if he never started binging again there would be no negative repercussions whatsoever? Did I read that correctly?
I like him better with chest hair.

@codykeifer16 people are so quick to get confrontational and butt hurt on the internet. I'm not knocking the guy in the video or p90x. He obviously got great results and I have no doubt that p90x is an excellent program. All I said was that, for me, the program was no fun. I know enough about fitness to find other ways to stay healthy and have fun at the same time.
gomarcphil 3 weeks ago

Maybe not as fast as p90x but you will get results.
gomarcphil 3 weeks ago
@gomarcphil p90x is only for people who don't give up, and want the best results, you obviously gave up to quick and the workouts are MAJORLY fun i don't know what your talking about lol

THEkiloniner 1 month ago

Well done =D

I have the p90x nutrition guide but it sounds kind of confusing. Are there any more high protein cookbooks out there so I can diversify my diet with?, that is usually what temps me to start cheating. Finally, you lost a lot of weight in the span of a year. Just to be curious, how many calories were you taking each day?.
IHBJM 1 month ago
I don't want to make this sound rude or anything cuz I'm afraid ill have the same problem but were u able to just burn the fat? like the hanging belly and man boobs or did it take a surgery? I'm going to start my transformation tomorrow and thats the one thing i'm most self conscious about and i really don't want to go through surgery to get rid of it
djpick604 1 month ago
@djpick604 You won't need surgery, the hanging fat is still fat and will go away over time, if your body is shrinking from huge proportions continue to lose weight and you will get the result.

Dumbest thing I've seen in a very very long time. Only an unprofessional will loose that much weight in such a short period of time. To all who value their health -> do not do this. Even loosing 10kg for 3-4 months is not good. I'm talking as a person who know a couple of guys, whose job is to examine professional sportsman and to make their diets. To loose that much fat you will need many years and not just a single one!
rbaleksandar 1 month ago
@rbaleksandar he looks pretty healthy to me, notice how muscular he comes? he's not crash dieting, when you are extremely overweight you can lose more fat in the same time frame.
razattack1337 1 month ago
@rbaleksandar "How" you do it can be dumb. Severe calorie restriction is dangerous and justs sets you up for long-term failure. I kept my calories near 2000 per day and worked out for 60 min per day. Thats it. I ate good, clean food and eliminated garbage. I will agree that is possible to lose weight the wrong way but until you know how a person did it, you don't have enough information to judge.
JeremyYost1 4 weeks ago 7
@JeremyYost1
"How" you do it can be dumb -> this part I don't understand. And actually I do have information because I had a little on me too (with a little I mean 10kg above the normal BMI for my height (193cm)). All I did was to reduce the fat (was a huge fan of fat pizza, fried potatoes etc.), started doing my old routine (2-3 times swimming per week (for 2 hours each)), some more exercising and eating 5 times a time small meals -> after 6 months back in the game. ;)
rbaleksandar 4 weeks ago
@rbaleksandar He means if you starve yourself or take drugs to lose weight it's not healthy. And I would like a specific reason as to why losing weight the way he did is unhealthy. Give me a biological reason because I'd love to hear it.
spartanman123 4 weeks ago
@spartanman123 Short version: rapid changes are bad.
Long version: As you know fat is an energy reserve. The amount in the fat-cells depends on 3 things - metabolism, physical activity and amount+type of consumed food.People get fat for different reasons but all go to these three basic things. If you loose fat too fast, your body will start starving (you might not notice that because of the stored fat-reserves).It will start burning fat to fill the gap (your usual piggishness :D)
rbaleksandar 4 weeks ago
@rbaleksandar Hope this info helps. If you don't believe me, open some medical books and read to your heart's content. ;) I am not a medic myself, but part of my family is and I also have friends, who know their sh@t.
rbaleksandar 4 weeks ago
@spartanman123 This "burning leads to two things - there are certain toxins that are stored in the fat cells (from alcohol, some meds etc.) If the fat-burning is too rapid, a big amount of toxins will be released across your body. If this amount is too big, you might get toxaemia. Which is bad.
Second thing that happens is that your body is under stress (again you might not notice it). It will 'remember' what you did to it.
rbaleksandar 4 weeks ago
@spartanman123 So next time you start eating like a pig (even for a short period of time), your body will say "I'd better conserve this fat and store it into my fat-cells, because who knows - he/she might f@ck with me again and that's something I don't like.". That's why people who have lost weight too fast, get fat and even fatter when they start eating more.
Healthy body=exercise (not over-exercise!) + healthy food + peaceful life (there is a saying: healthy mind, healthy body)
rbaleksandar 4 weeks ago
@rbaleksandar So what you just said is that if he never started binging again there would be no negative repercussions whatsoever? Did I read that correctly?
