@R4G3QU1TT It's tricky. You need two video tracks at once, but I'm afraid the black background is a part of the video itself. Take the clip you want the fire on and click the Event Pan Crop button. Shrink it down so you have a black border around the clip. Import this clip into Vegas and play it at the same time above this video track, but move it down below into the border so you can see the flames. Resize it however you want.

Tell me if that works. I have that same problem.

To get this all you have to do is cut a clip out which is probably the end you dont want and save it and use what you have left and in this case its the explosion.
