  • his face looks like he is shitting at the end of this snippet

  • could*

  • Gr8 videos. I wonder couple you help me. I am a recent graduate of a networking course and i applied for many jobs but i recently received an email from a big IT company in a major city. My problem is i have no experiance and im afraid im going to blow this. I have worked as a cashier similar to "walmart" for the past three years and this is going to be my 1st proper interview. I really really want this job...any tips

  • i love all your responds to these questions. they REALLY help. so happy i found this channel.... :)

  • I hate this question as well; for me it’s a cross between where I WANT to see my self and where I WILL see my self.

  • I'm having trouble preparing for this question, I suppose because I may be over qualified for the position i'm applying for, not a bad thing, I could do it really well! The reason im going for it is, well I think it WOULD be a good stepping stone in my career and I could learn a lot from working there, I would have no plans in staying there for 5 years 1-2 years - no problem, but then I would think I would be trying to move on.

    Any help?

  • @laserspatula even if you have no intention of staying 5 years, your answer can still revolve around your desire to accept more responsibility, advance the firm's mission and continue your contributions. It is generally a bad idea to even hint that you view the job as temporary.

  • @NescoResource Thank you, I appreciate the quick response. I don't think they'll buy it!! I have a BA Photography and am going for a Marketing/Support position which I can do and have experience doing but the company currently has 10 employees and I don't think they'll be looking for an art director (my career ambition) any time soon! good advice though, don't want to be thinking of leaving in the interview!

    thanks again.

  • Wait..."I see myself face down in a gutter drunk in 5 years" isn't a good response? FUCK!!!!!

  • Your responses to each question are right on target. I recall being asked the "Why do you want to work here?" question at a previous interview and I did not do my research on the company's background, structure, success stories etc. I was so focused on the position that I never bothered to shine light on that specific area. I realized I focused more on the position's responsibilities I was so familiar with yet didn't express any passion or human interest for that specific company itself. Thanks

  • Thanks for your videos. They are quite useful. However, they are very much bussiness orientated - how about some help for people applying to public sector jobs? It would be really quite different, wouldnt it?

  • @Uzsislaptinus The responses really should not be much different whether you're seeking a private or public sector job. You still have to convey the reasons why you should be hired, you need to be prepared for the standard questions that strive to find out your motivations and intentions and you need to deliver responses that are distinctive and memorable.

  • in five years you'll be 5 years closer to death

  • A little late, but you're welcome.

  • Thanks!
