i don't really agree with the tip tackle red-card rule, i think it should only be a yellow card for the offence but at 1:53, frans stein should have been red carded, remember the world cup wales vs france anyone? sorry to bring that up wales.

fantastic stuff. the gap between the trinations sides and the six nations sides have closed condersiderably within the last 3 years with the all blacks being the exception. but i suppose theyve lost the odd game to france

unfortunately North emisphere Rugby seems to lack of fantasy and "schemes", the oval is moved quite slowly,there are few "cross-passes" ,probably it is caused by a strange mental attitude by coaches

South Africa's mistake was to play Scotland at their own game...a war of forward attrition...that's the number 1 easiest way to lose to scotland and full credit to them for a good game :)

@loserkidst as vegatablesouptom says, he's consistent in tackling and rucking, maybe a wee bit iffy with throwing but a good player, i think a sojurn in france/south africa or nz would give him a kick up his own arse as he is too soft, he is not using his 19st frame aggresively

Scotland are by no means an amazing team. But never take them lightly...

Just to emphasize a major problem with scotland not scoring try's check out richie vernon's run at 3:14 - 3:21. He gets the ball way back nearish the 22 and makes a great 40-50m run. When he looks for the easy 1-2 offload there are only green shirts following him. Not a single scotsman is there for the pass. I've seen Scotland do this time and time again and this is probably why they so rarely score try's.

We were the underdogs here, but we proved what Scotland is capable of when they get their heads down and play. And SA learned a valuable lesson - Don't get in a kicking war with Scotland.

South Africa seem to switch off when they arrive in Europe come November, I have never enjoyed watching the boks come the end of the year. Hats off to Scotland great win over the Boks, November and boks never a good mix for us South African fans.

Another South African here. Scotland deserved the win, I did feel however that the ref blew consistently bad against both teams and damnit, we just couldn't stop making mistakes. Was a hard game to watch but oh well, just hope they learn from it and get better and don't listen to a damn thing PDV says!

I was at Murrayfield on saturday, and what an atmosphere, it felt like a calcutta cup match toweards the end (plus had a similar score)

Not the best game, but still a wins a win, and when its over the World Champions its all the better!
