June you are so funny. "it's shite" lol. I've had the same problem with "winkle" no pay off... Absolutely zip. I'm bringing it back just to ask them about it. Argh!!! They just included a neon pink eyeliner in my shipment ( comes with a warning not to use on the eyes!!! Wha?) eejits!
I've never tried Mac eyeshadow. I don't know why really. I guess it seems SO expensive to me. I guess I'm not ready to pay that. I think I'd rather spend on fragrance or shoes. lol! I think since we are both cool tone people purple is a really hard color to find. If I find a good one I'll let you know! Great video, I just adore you <3
Totally agree with you about MAC purples. Parfait Amour bugs the crap out of me. HATE IT. Luckily, I don't care too much for purple shades so I don't have a lot of MAC Purples in my collection.

I have to say June, this makeup look is The Bomb! I LOVE your eye and nude lip - it's beautiful!! Suits you so well. I always had trouble with Trax, lush in the pan, sickly on the eye and bad pigmentation. Disappointed by Parfait A too, you do have a point. Try NYX Morocco and of course MUFE #92 <3

haha, fantastic video! I totally agree. I heard in the past that pro makeup artists complained that the quality of MAC products has declined (some say since EL bought them...). In any case, I have had the same experience with those shadows and I'm critical of some other products by MAC that are too hyped, in my view.
@Catalina031 I think it is fast becoming a novelty brand, a new collection every five seconds, and more style than substance, which is a pity, because they do have some really good products.
In regards to your webcam, it's not bad at all, it's way better than mine LOL!
emilynoel83 has a video up where she did side by side swatches comparing mac dupes from the wet n wild coloricon collection she stated that the wet n wild dupes were more pigmented than the mac shadows. Your makeup looks very pretty purple suits you : )
I came so close to stopping back by MAC after my hair appt today just for purple matte eyeshadows. Now I'm glad I didn't. I'm on a quest for good, matte purple eyeshadows. I'm too old to wear a totally shimmery/glittery eye. I have green eyes and want a couple of good mattes. Have you found any good ones? I got a Jane Iredale named antique rose/merlot that looks like it may work, will try it tomorrow and see. hugs. cheri

I have purple haze and you're right, it's not a bold color by any stretch. But, I still like it because it gives a wash of purple, so it's nice in the crease. So the name "purple haze" is fitting. That they don't have any bold purples, apparently, I would see as the issue.
@eastcarolina but it's described on the website as "intense purple". I don't mind subtle colour, and I used it in the crease just yesterday and you have to work and work with it, the formula is so hard...

I wish I could remember the names of the ones I have but I know that they take eons to apply. I thought I'd ruined them somehow but now I see this I can see it isn't that at all. LOVE your makeup today! I don't know that I've ever seen you with blue eyeshadow before, it suits you! I don't have Purple Haze so I can't say if you got a dud or not. Indian Ink is a PRO color so that's probably why that one swatched pretty good but ironic is that the one that swatched the best was a formula they are getting rid of, DUMB! xoxo Deb

Kind of like how Chanel eyeshadows are sometimes quite sheer–because their customer bases are often conservative and don't like "KAHBLAM COLOR!" But for a company like MAC it seems strange that their shadows should be sheer, I think unfortunately they're just crappy rather than it being an intentional thing :( :( XX <33
@denizandmakeup Yeah you're right. When you swatcha Chanel eyeshadow, you can tell the sheer payoff was meant to be that way. Unfortunately some of the MAC shadows are just plain poor quality :(

I agree. The only true purple I have from Mac is Fig 1 and I have never been crazy about it. I am always looking for a nice matte purple because I have hazel eyes but it is hard to find. I actively looked at all the Mac purples and couldn't find any I wanted to buy.
I feel your pain! I have the same problem with my newest shadow from the to the beach collection and I though it was because I've depotted it by putting it for a minute in the oven, but now I don't think so... You know what helps - you take a knif and scoop the top layer of the shadow - underneeth it's better hahaha :)

@cheriatthe2ndhalf try Inglot if you can get them, they are loaded with pigment, some are a little powdery but the purples are pretty amazing.
