Downgrade your iphone and then go to itunes and press check for updates and then it will take about 10 minutes when its done you will have serviceXD

reinstall ultrasnow. reboot the device by pressing home button and power button both, IGNORE "slide to power off" message. after it shuts down, press the power button again to turn it back on, and the signals will be back,

if you have 3g and upgraded it to 4.2.1 and after having it jailbroken you had problems like "searching" "no device" or even the 3 dots on your signal.. you should re-jailbreak it and upgrade your baseband (by checking the tick box of "install ipad baseband) warning: once baseband is upgraded, you can no longer downgrade it..

@moe0406 ok.... u think you bought a stolen iphone 4... or you bought a iphone 4 and you think someone stole it off the ups truck or fedex truck?? but if you got a stolen iphone the esn "electrical serial number" has probably been locked so you can't set up a contract on it due to it being stolen.. and the esn could be locked from not paying your phone bill.

when the download finish open redsnow folder run file name redsn0w.exe when the window pop up then click browse then get file IO 4.2.1 and choose that file then click next then chech install cydia and check install ipad baseband this is very important , then click next follow the screen switch off your iphone then follow the screen. when install finishes your simcard 100% works.

GUYS!! i just bought an iphone 3g 8gb, black. i put in my t-mobile sim card in and fired it up. it went from having one bar to NO SERVICE. then i found out.........my iphone wasnt unlocked! it was still locked to AT&T.

Turn off 3g

Go to Settings:General:Reset.

Click Reset Network Settings

Enter your passcode if you have created one.

Click the red button: Reset Network Settings

The iPhone will take a minute to shut down, then it will reboot.

Hopefully, service comes back.

Ok... Here is the downlow... I am a Rogers customer in Canada... I have never had the "No Service" problem come up, however, I have a different problem of sorts... My iPhone works great. I love it. But... When my battery gets to the "low" mark, it seems to just drop all the bars until the battery is depleted. I have to keep pressing the menu button in order for it to get service again.,, and it always does. I have not reset the phone and I'm currently on my second SIM Card... any help?

Btw for anyone who has a jailbroken iphone with 2.0.2 software and is having this problem with no service.

Go into cydia and download a program called Bootneuter, once that is installed select everything (apart from fake blanker), let it flash and then restart the phone. You will now have reception. This is even easier than the method used in this video.

I dont know if this will work with 1.1.4 but if you can find bootneuter you should be ok

Ive had this problem and resolved it by downgrading the firmware to 1.1.1 then downgrading the baseband from installer using baseband downgrader, and using anySim with no sim inside.
