I like how its always honda and nissan in these videos. Basically what it comes down to is power, we all know an integra or rsx won't beat a maxima in stock form and we all know a max in stock form can take on any honda up to a cetain point. Then when a real ass whoopen needs to be delivered thats when you start to bolt on things on the even the playing field. And it makes me sick that you honda folks always bring up the TL to beat up on older maximas, y not go find a newer one to "bully up on"

Hey bro remember me...I was looking through the comments here...and I figure I'd continue where I started before we were interrupted by that child. As I was saying like 2 weeks ago lol, a 4th gen Maxima, although technically not a fair comparison to a 3rd gen TL (since it came along 5 years after the 4th gen Max was stopped), can still keep up with the TL. If you want more fair comparisons, gen 5.5 (2002) and later would take a 3rd gen TL. As for the older TLs, all Maximas after 95 are faster.
However, as for 6th gen Maximas (2004-2008), They are ugly as hell and I'd take a 3rd gen TL over it in a heartbeat. It's only the new TLs that were ruined....in which I'd of course take a 7th gen Maxima (despite that stupid CVT...boo).
Unless you're TL is modified significantly, the 4th gen would still stay with it, and 2002+ Max would most likely win, stock for stock. The 2004+ Maxima (fair comparison since 3rd gen TL is 2004+), makes more hp at the wheels, and with more torque and a wider power band. However, this generation Maxima is ugly as sin, so that doesn't matter to me anyway. As for 2009, lol you definitely can't argue that the new TL is horrendous, and the Maxima looks much better. It has regained its 4DSC status.
Trust me, I know people with both cars. I have driven both cars. There is no bias, either. I love TLs, up until the 4th gen, and I hate 6th gen Maximas. I'm just stating the facts.
If your TL is modded, what do you have done to it? What kind of power gains did you get, if it is modded? I hope you have a 6MT too...
The 2002 maxima isn't beating me a g35 6spd can hardly keep up with me and no it's an auto, 6spd isn't much of a difference in accelaration for my car don't care what anyone say it will only pull on my car half a cars length my boy is sick wit a stick and he shifts better wit honda sticks got a 6spd TL from his job and raced me, don't worry I drive my auto very well.
Firstly, you lose respect for it being an automatic. Secondly, a G35 is in fact significantly quicker than a factory TL. You're looking at a 5.5 second sprint to 60mph with those. a 3rd gen TL barely does 6 flat, if at all. A 2002 Maxima has 255hp, larger powerband, and more torque. As for one of my 4th gens, my Y-Pipe and CAI gives me around 25whp, and on a much lighter car. I would definitely stay with you in a straight. I think I mentioned this: I took an Audi A4 3.2, which is TL territory.

The exhaust mods get me a lot too, like I said before, my Y-Pipe gets me about 18whp. Combine that with CAI and thats about 25whp.
What color is your TL? I would personally get pearl white for that one. I might consider one in the future.

Where the hell did you get those numbers?? Maxima does 0-60 in 6.6 and 1320 in about 15.5 at the slowest. Even a boosted Integra would have a hard time keeping up with that, since it's barely making the VQ's power AFTER the turbo. Maxima has a larger power band, and a low end grunt, unlike the Integra; something that Honda is known to lack. Integras, from factory, are fairly slow, and don't tend to boost as well as others Hondas. One example: I've smoked an Audi A4 3.2, and those are like 250hp.

you really don't know maximas too well do you...on top of it having a 2 cylinder advantage on a tsx, it also has way more torque than the typical honda with no torque and high end power...even the maxima 4th gen (1995-1999) would destroy a tsx...theres no competition there. the 4th gen does 0-60 in 6.6, whereas the tsx (which, btw is completely outranked by the max in luxury) does it in mid 7s...i'm not a nissan head, i'm simply stating facts because i like both cars a lot.
The max doesn't out rank TSX in Luxury. The max also have less parts on the Japanese market for sale. The TSX has more, so that means TSX gets more mods. More Mods = faster? Max don't have a HID, don't have a better auto system, don't have shit really if you don't up the trim, the first trim gives you nothing. I'm stating the fact that they but have up and downs, but your wrong that the TSX is less in luxury.
these cars are two completely different classes of vehicle. yes a gxe maxima is basic, but when stepping up to an se or gle then it comes with more...go look at ur websites again, the maxima came with HIDs starting in 2002, along with the new vq35 with 255hp. the max has a huge market for performance parts, especially the 4th gen. that, combined with being at least 300lbs lighter, makes it faster. the vq is an engine that is easy to get power out of. more power and less weight = faster?
Was talking about 08 TSX/Max. No it doesn't have more parts. Maybe the old models do cause all old models does. The new 08 doesn't come with HIDs. I'm sorry but you should it again, I checked. Yes you gotta step up your trims to get more. But it gets hella pricey for just a Max. All and all the TSX is lighter, idk whats your point about lighter. I don't know why everyone here says its better cause the engine is better. Who races stock? Besides mod a TSX and it will take it out.

well come-on now...anyone can come and say that a modded car can beat another factory car...i am VERY aware of the possibilities of a modified car, i have some very modifiable ones myself...however if you are talking 2008 max vs 2008 tsx it will still take a good amount of mods, as from factory, it will do 0-60 in about 7sec+, whereas the 08 maxima will do it in the low 6s range (6.2-6.3). although i do agree that the 6th gen maxima is a very ugly car.
the 2009 maxima is a different story, however...its at least a full second and some faster to 60mph than an 09 tsx...i believe the times are around 5.6 and 6.9, respectively.
lol obviously the TL is fast. i know people with one, and they are very fun cars to drive. but, they are the only thing in the honda line-up that really has a chance. maximas still have a better power curve, and the car is way cheaper (4th gens). i would personally love to have a 3rd gen TL type S 6MT pearl white. the new one is ugly as shit. even still, the maxima would keep up with a 3rd gen, and beat the previous gens. i would know, i have 2 maximas, and know various people with TLs.
Not true the rsx type-s with k-pro i/h/e with the right tires and driver can do high 12's at the track I know cause my friend does it with his. The Maxima only has low end power, when in 2nd gear I keep my car over 4k I start pullin. Look at a TL on a dyno graph after 4K it look like a 100 degree angle.........lol
I like maxima's with the right driver things start to get fun.
stock for stock, an RSX Type-S will do 0-60 in about 7.5-7.6 seconds, which is good enough to keep up with an automatic 4th gen (5spd is 6.6). a y-pipe and a cool-air intake will gain me an instant 25hp at the wheels at least, on an already light 3000lbs car. the maxima does have a fairly wide powerband, and what is good, as you said, is that it starts low for that low end grunt, an issue with most hondas. but damn do i ever want a 3rd gen TL...
Dyno tests have proven that there is at least 18hp gained at the wheels with the y-pipe alone; factory setup is very restrictive.
an RSX does 0-60 in 7.5-7.6 seconds at the fastest, and that's a Type-S. It's not slow, but i would be surprised to see one take an auto.
you're also putting your money on the RSX due to your extreme hatred towards the Maxima, and just like in various other instances, you'll feel the need to attack them here too.
The way the engines designed with intake mods u can add 10-15 whp, exhaust mods 10-20 whp. My dudes rsx type-s has k-pro, i/h/e, throttle body spacer, and gets 250whp we raced the other day and he starts pullin after second.
also RSX type is would beat an auto 4th gen. (7.6 seconds 0-60 is nothing to write home about, an rsx type s can do 0-60 in under 7 seconds, which may not beat a 5 spd but id put my money on the rsx vs an automatic 4th gen.
I suggest that you find something better to do with your immense amount of free time instead of hunting down all the car videos I have commented on in an attempt to refute what I've said, while flaming them at the same time, directly or indirectly. I would also advise, for your own safety, that you ensure I never see you again.
to be honest im not saying RSX to piss you off but judging by times ive seen and weight (2775 lbs), i would think it would beat a heaver, auto maxima.
RSX type s's have been tested to do 0-60 in under 7.6 seconds which is the best time i have yet found for a stock nissan maxima 4th gen AUTO. I'm going by the numbers.

Ok i read the description.
1).The guy in the integra is double stupid for running his car all shade tree half assed redneck. Thats just lame.
2) There is no replacement for displacement. I.E. if that honda was boosted AND the maxima was boosted, Maxima hands down every time. If they both had cams and were N/A, Maxima every time no sweat. IF jackass had his shit right, yeah he could beat a N/A max no prob. Got that?

I like how its always honda and nissan in these videos. Basically what it comes down to is power, we all know an integra or rsx won't beat a maxima in stock form and we all know a max in stock form can take on any honda up to a cetain point. Then when a real ass whoopen needs to be delivered thats when you start to bolt on things on the even the playing field. And it makes me sick that you honda folks always bring up the TL to beat up on older maximas, y not go find a newer one to "bully up on"

Hey bro remember me...I was looking through the comments here...and I figure I'd continue where I started before we were interrupted by that child. As I was saying like 2 weeks ago lol, a 4th gen Maxima, although technically not a fair comparison to a 3rd gen TL (since it came along 5 years after the 4th gen Max was stopped), can still keep up with the TL. If you want more fair comparisons, gen 5.5 (2002) and later would take a 3rd gen TL. As for the older TLs, all Maximas after 95 are faster.

Unless you're TL is modified significantly, the 4th gen would still stay with it, and 2002+ Max would most likely win, stock for stock. The 2004+ Maxima (fair comparison since 3rd gen TL is 2004+), makes more hp at the wheels, and with more torque and a wider power band. However, this generation Maxima is ugly as sin, so that doesn't matter to me anyway. As for 2009, lol you definitely can't argue that the new TL is horrendous, and the Maxima looks much better. It has regained its 4DSC status.

The 2002 maxima isn't beating me a g35 6spd can hardly keep up with me and no it's an auto, 6spd isn't much of a difference in accelaration for my car don't care what anyone say it will only pull on my car half a cars length my boy is sick wit a stick and he shifts better wit honda sticks got a 6spd TL from his job and raced me, don't worry I drive my auto very well.

Firstly, you lose respect for it being an automatic. Secondly, a G35 is in fact significantly quicker than a factory TL. You're looking at a 5.5 second sprint to 60mph with those. a 3rd gen TL barely does 6 flat, if at all. A 2002 Maxima has 255hp, larger powerband, and more torque. As for one of my 4th gens, my Y-Pipe and CAI gives me around 25whp, and on a much lighter car. I would definitely stay with you in a straight. I think I mentioned this: I took an Audi A4 3.2, which is TL territory.

Lol yea I can agree that there would be wins and losses for each. As for the G35, that's cool that you can stay with him, but I guess that's after the mods. Especially since the G is faster from factory.
The exhaust mods get me a lot too, like I said before, my Y-Pipe gets me about 18whp. Combine that with CAI and thats about 25whp.
What color is your TL? I would personally get pearl white for that one. I might consider one in the future.

Where the hell did you get those numbers?? Maxima does 0-60 in 6.6 and 1320 in about 15.5 at the slowest. Even a boosted Integra would have a hard time keeping up with that, since it's barely making the VQ's power AFTER the turbo. Maxima has a larger power band, and a low end grunt, unlike the Integra; something that Honda is known to lack. Integras, from factory, are fairly slow, and don't tend to boost as well as others Hondas. One example: I've smoked an Audi A4 3.2, and those are like 250hp.

and the acura sounded like a turboed ls. and im sure it was a ebay kit with know tuning. so your only looking at maybe 190whp. if the max has a swap and it was done right your looking at 220-240whp. every one thinks that the maxima is soo heavy but mine at the track all stock only weighed 2,992 lbs my old acura had 2800 lbs on the title. think about it who would win in the race.... talk all you want you can argue with the facts.

No, I'm not kidding. TSX can take out the Maxima, try racing a TSX if your one of those Maxima hard heads. And also Maxima is not HID (Xenon) standard. Check Yahoo Autos, Standard features. Maxima is for one ugly IMO, Less on Luxury, Pretty big.., And slow. Don't hate on Acura ricers when you nissan heads do it too. So lay off?

you really don't know maximas too well do you...on top of it having a 2 cylinder advantage on a tsx, it also has way more torque than the typical honda with no torque and high end power...even the maxima 4th gen (1995-1999) would destroy a tsx...theres no competition there. the 4th gen does 0-60 in 6.6, whereas the tsx (which, btw is completely outranked by the max in luxury) does it in mid 7s...i'm not a nissan head, i'm simply stating facts because i like both cars a lot.

The max doesn't out rank TSX in Luxury. The max also have less parts on the Japanese market for sale. The TSX has more, so that means TSX gets more mods. More Mods = faster? Dude your dumb, my fact on Max has worst Luxury is right. Check the sites. Max don't have a HID, don't have a better auto system, don't have shit really if you don't up the trim, the first trim gives you nothing. I'm stating the fact that they but have up and downs, but your wrong that the TSX is less in luxury.

these cars are two completely different classes of vehicle. yes a gxe maxima is basic, but when stepping up to an se or gle then it comes with more...go look at ur websites again, the maxima came with HIDs starting in 2002, along with the new vq35 with 255hp. the max has a huge market for performance parts, especially the 4th gen. that, combined with being at least 300lbs lighter, makes it faster. the vq is an engine that is easy to get power out of. more power and less weight = faster?

Was talking about 08 TSX/Max. No it doesn't have more parts. Maybe the old models do cause all old models does. The new 08 doesn't come with HIDs. I'm sorry but you should it again, I checked. Yes you gotta step up your trims to get more. But it gets hella pricey for just a Max. All and all the TSX is lighter, idk whats your point about lighter. I don't know why everyone here says its better cause the engine is better. Who races stock? Besides mod a TSX and it will take it out.

well come-on now...anyone can come and say that a modded car can beat another factory car...i am VERY aware of the possibilities of a modified car, i have some very modifiable ones myself...however if you are talking 2008 max vs 2008 tsx it will still take a good amount of mods, as from factory, it will do 0-60 in about 7sec+, whereas the 08 maxima will do it in the low 6s range (6.2-6.3). although i do agree that the 6th gen maxima is a very ugly car.

lol obviously the TL is fast. i know people with one, and they are very fun cars to drive. but, they are the only thing in the honda line-up that really has a chance. maximas still have a better power curve, and the car is way cheaper (4th gens). i would personally love to have a 3rd gen TL type S 6MT pearl white. the new one is ugly as shit. even still, the maxima would keep up with a 3rd gen, and beat the previous gens. i would know, i have 2 maximas, and know various people with TLs.

Not true the rsx type-s with k-pro i/h/e with the right tires and driver can do high 12's at the track I know cause my friend does it with his. The Maxima only has low end power, when in 2nd gear I keep my car over 4k I start pullin. Look at a TL on a dyno graph after 4K it look like a 100 degree angle.........lol
I like maxima's with the right driver things start to get fun.

stock for stock, an RSX Type-S will do 0-60 in about 7.5-7.6 seconds, which is good enough to keep up with an automatic 4th gen (5spd is 6.6). a y-pipe and a cool-air intake will gain me an instant 25hp at the wheels at least, on an already light 3000lbs car. the maxima does have a fairly wide powerband, and what is good, as you said, is that it starts low for that low end grunt, an issue with most hondas. but damn do i ever want a 3rd gen TL...

Dyno tests have proven that there is at least 18hp gained at the wheels with the y-pipe alone; factory setup is very restrictive.
an RSX does 0-60 in 7.5-7.6 seconds at the fastest, and that's a Type-S. It's not slow, but i would be surprised to see one take an auto.
you're also putting your money on the RSX due to your extreme hatred towards the Maxima, and just like in various other instances, you'll feel the need to attack them here too.

to be honest im not saying RSX to piss you off but judging by times ive seen and weight (2775 lbs), i would think it would beat a heaver, auto maxima.
RSX type s's have been tested to do 0-60 in under 7.6 seconds which is the best time i have yet found for a stock nissan maxima 4th gen AUTO. I'm going by the numbers.
