I love it when you see on a programming tutorial the different ways to run an IDE and compile a program on different platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux), and it's always the same: Windows: double click on icon, or go to menu, and click run.  Mac, pretty much the same. Linux, however,: go to so-and-so directory, and type this long, time wasting, unintuitive command. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Linux fucking sucks. I like typing commands, but not when it's freaking unnecessary.

I have used windows for as long as its been around and I use it for web browsing, software development, graphic design, gaming, and many other uses and I have never had any problems and I never get viruses. no bullshit. Windows is intuitive and ANYONE, no matter how computer illiterate, can grab a mouse and start using it and don't have to type a bunch of cryptic commands to do simple tasks, or do a bunch of stupid shit just to install a simple application.

I agree, I had used Windows since 3.0 including building infrastructure and networks but when I started delving into Linux SuSe way back in 2004 I learned that Microsoft is a joke. Since then I have used many different Linux distros and have finally landed on a few that I love. Fedora 15, Ubuntu 11.04 and Fuduntu. They are all amazing and all software is FREE!! Microsoft does not have free software, they have programs out there that are free that work WITH Windows. Microsoft SUCKS!!

@Tallman67122 That's what Wubi and the live disks are for. Download one or a few, burn to disk, reboot, give 'em a spin without installing. Remember, they run much slower off disk, except for Puppy which runs totally in RAM. I dual boot most systems, leaving Windoze on "just in case". But now it's painful to go back.

HAHA 3 hours installing a printer? I installed Linux Ultimate 3.0 and my printer worked right away. all my devices worked right away. I decided to get away from Windows and since i did I have not missed Windows. Why should i have to buy all these damn programs when Linux has over 38,000 free programs. For those that want to try Linux you can install Linux Next to Windows. This way you can try it out like i did. Eventually you will find yourself migrating more and more towards Linux.

Chrome for Linux is not cheap, my SIP phones are not cheap, but free. Google Voice dont seem to think Linux is cheap. Open Office is used by cheapasses who can't afford office, most people use office on PC or mac. OpenOffice only had market share from the people who were cheapasses, still surfing the internet on a PPC Mac or a Pentium 3.
