Does the 3000Kv 2040 have any heating issues? My 2040 , 3200KV running at 20amps already over heated. quite surprised yours can handle 23-25amps. Hence I chande to a 28-35 type outrunner motor and can handle up to 27-30amps.
not sure what you mean by 'heating issues'. It flies, it comes down really hot, it cools and it flies again? Of course, I am conservative in the full speed bursts.
the setup is a 25 amp, 3000 kv 2040 size motor from GWS. it runs on 3 cell 1800, 16c. at max it draws about 23 amps.
very nice micromugi

Hi Chonju2, your Mugi is pretty fast. Can you share with us your setup. motor KV, cells count?
Meanwhile, you can watch my recently modified mugi in action see video response.

I passed it on to my pal = ) .
It's ok man, I've since built 3 more mugies for various people! But I haven't gotten down to breaking my 120 km/hr run yet.

@chonju2 . I have bad experience with a few 2040 inrunner motors from 3200 to 3900Kv.
They run hot and after few flight, they got demagnetised(due to over heating) and burn up at 25amps.
Now I limited the 3.2-3.9Kv 2040 inrunner motor to run below 20amps .
Meanwhile, you can check out my 24 inches mugi doing high speed pass . It uses the Align 430BL-3550kv motor.
