  • Comment removed

  • I shoot my lobsters. So much faster :D

  • I know this isn't animal abuse and it's better to do it this way, but that crack, that I hear when she slices the lobster makes me wanna punch her, for some reason.

  • @NintenPLUSH why are u in here ? she did a great job id like to thank her for showing me how to do this THIS IS WHY I AM HERE ...

  • @80z90zhouzemuzicgrl I'm not talking about that, smarty.

  • @NintenPLUSH i see u are a angry bird in ur teens going around calling people names angry at the world having to come in here on utube to call people names and try to provoke angry responses ...stop being so angry ..move on...watch some educational vidoes on here maybe u learn to better ur mind not ur mouth and words ....

  • @80z90zhouzemuzicgrl I call people names, when they act like complete idiots, *Ahemlikeyou* and I don't get post the comments for no reason, retard.

  • much better than boiling...

  • prolonged suffering such as boiling or freezing is what people (who care) should demonize (she still froze the lobster btw). The quick chop is sufficient enough i think. It's not like there's an instantaneous point where the lobster is alive and suddenly dead.

  • @boneball22

I should think you'd find the freezing merciful (for those who care) for it's anesthetizing effects.

Honestly though, the suffering of a lobster is a bit of an unknown...it's likely they're too primitive to suffer at all. Attempting to humanely kill the thing is more likely for our benefit than the lobster's!

  • she is hot!!!!!!!

  • beautiful assassin :D

  • how the fuck would u like being frozen alive and get a nice clean slice through the fucking head ! that is just cruelness to the lobster community and to the whole marine life. u should be ashamed for fucking a lobster in the head with a knife.!

  • @isacc240 go fuck yourself and go eat some soya shit why i enjoy my baby seal steak.fresh catch

  • @isacc240 WHY DONT U KEEP UR COMMENTS TO URSELF WE LOVE MEAT ..WE LOVE MEAT THIS IS NOT FOR U ..RESPECT!

  • Hot looking cook!!

  • 1:06 last sound that lobster heard.

  • harrrr, i saw how the very painfull knife stab occurred when the lobster swing the tail, after the deadly wound,

  • Don't criticize animal abuse if you're a meat-eater. If you buy meat from the store, you're supporting those who made the animals suffer.

  • @MinamuTV True.

  • @MinamuTV I'm not sure you can use the word "suffer" to describe what the lobster feels. Suffer implies sarrow, our extreme pain or torture. The lobster goes through really no psychological pain whatsoever, as lobsters are closer to insects than mammels (no developed brain), and the death is pretty quick as well. It probably feels painless, really. The lobster feels no loss of any sort of kin or possession, either. So I think its safe to say that there is no harm done at all, really.

  • Lobsters remind me of Xenomorph's from the Alien Movies!!!!

  • OUCH !

  • i don't think she hit its brain, but who cars........

  • Its times like this I wish I had Wonka Vision.. either to save it or to cook it myself... whichever I feel like at the time..

  • JAJAJAJJAJ

  • that way it dies a quick death... lol wow... were going to freeze you aka torture you, then to wake you up, im going to take this very SHARP knife through your head.. OH dont mind the legs moving its natural nerve response.. or is it? never heard of something dead still move

  • @Salahuddin07 Actually some animals do that. Some lizards if they lose their tail, the tail continues to move to distract a predator. If you decapitate a snake it sometimes still bites as a reflex.

  • @NickDzzy im talking about driving a knife into your head and body parts continue to move... not defense mechanisms.

  • @Salahuddin07 Its still a reflex.

  • @Salahuddin07 You should see what headless chickens do! It's amazing!

  • @Salahuddin07 Vegetarian retard

  • i love lobster

  • But that's no fun!

  • MMM!!! MMM!!! MMM!!!

  • Actually, even though I am a vegetarian, this is the most humane video on killing a lobster that I have seen on youtube. Some other amatuers were just making it go through so much unneccessary torture... this one is better though, props for trying to be more humane.

Although, I would never advocate animal killing in any way.

  • @nickiminaj12311 It's waaaaay faster than slowly being boiled alive. Plus being frozen sucks, but it doesn't hut, you're numbed after a few minutes. (Trust me I was accidentally locked in a walk in freezer one time for 23 minutes)

  • Is it more easy to not eat it in the first place?

  • Too much work, Just boil it alive :/

  • Lobster's don't feel pain, their nervous system doesn't respond to boiling water, they actually fall asleep in warming water.

  • @Iainfixie Citation needed.

  • @jlantin Lobsters don't scream. The scream is hot water seeping into their shells and escaping through the hinges. Its steam screaming.

  • Comment removed

  • how the hell is that any more humane than putting them in the boiling water. If anything to me freezing them for 20 minutes seems even more inhumane

  • if she sakes me to crawl into her freezer i know to actually head for the door lol

  • Yep, right whent he knife touched the lobster I freaked out and paused the video. Forever afraid.. >.>

  • @yournotjohn "...and at this point the lobster is in a semi-conscious, translucent state and actually receives painful stimuli as a tingling sensation." It could be opposed to that.

  • @robisconfusedd freezing and boiling/burning are both in the same worst ways to die if you burn to death you get to much heat and your body starts destroying itself if you get frozen your body looses all of its heat and it cannot function intern destroys itself. and every time you move your muscles are ripping and tearing apart and your frozen white blood cells still try to respond to your injury but they cant so it sends out a shock and begins to sting.

  • From wiki.

"a lobster's brain operates from not one but several ganglia and disabling only the frontal ganglion does not usually result in death or unconsciousness".

  • when you freeze a lobster the claws die first and the lobster drops them off. this lets the juice boil out and makes it tasteless. breaching the shell with a knife will do the same and if done as this vid. shows you will loose all of the tomalley.

  • Okay i used to work as a butcher in a meat/seafood shop. When a lobster dies its body releases bacteria and it multiplies pretty fast. That is why its best to just boil or steam them alive.

  • @rawatson83 Thank you for the insight

  • @ChuckNoarus classic reply lol

  • @EpicVeganMealTime Freezing isn't as bad a death as boiling to death... You slow down and basically shut down in the freezing cold whereas being boiled is an agonizing horrendous death. It's not that hard of a concept to understand.

  • @Nick6Michael Stop Using Captials Before Every Letter It Is Annoying.

  • Eww o.O

  • I don't know they love fish don't they lawl

  • @beautifulday01 lol what? are you sure about that?

  • Comment removed

  • @ChuckNoarus agree here!

  • well how else will you kill it?? You wanna put it in the pot so it can take forever to die in pain?

  • @KikyoChanXD Aha! Of course, no dairy! I thought there was something suspicious about my mom feeding dairy to her infants. That she produced. From her own body. Vegans are so smart. <3

  • yummy

  • Comment removed

  • she looks happy doing this!

  • @XeroK Apparently they dont scream, its the shell steaming and whistling like a tea kettle:L

  • @Nannilain LOL!

  • atleast it lived a great live, i never tried lobster only crabs and crabs taste really good :3 i like em "boiled... :D

  • @XeroK How about we get a cannibalist to kill you and eat you.

  • Go VEGGI!

  • @XeroK lol

  • LOL OMG! 1:04! EPIC!

  • Am I the only one who cringed at the sound of that crunch?

  • Anyone here who eats any meat at all and yet says this is cruel, is naive, ignorant, and in denial. Every bite of meat you eat came from an animal that suffered, and that lobster suffered a hell of a lot less than the cow did in the industrial meat processing plant where it was killed to be used for your burger. Everything you eat has to suffer and die for you to have it. If that troubles you, eat meat less often and look into alternative, more humane sources for the meat you do eat.

  • @suzbailey23

In my country we we give them food and water before we slay them...

  • @suzbailey23 yum yum i love me some meat!

  • @suzbailey23 I don't care.

  • @suzbailey23 fuck you. I eat baby seals for breakfast and whale steaks for dinner.very nutritious and very tasty!

  • And to all you animal/critter rights activists:

For every lobster you don't eat I'm going to eat two.

Nothing is going to change, and enjoy your self-righteous culinary asceticism.

  • who gives a dam, you're going to eat the dam thing anyway, just kill it

  • kinda creeps me out..

  • @KikyoChanXD Humans are omnivorous, and have been for a very long time. Our brains developed due to an increase in meat in the diets of our prehistoric ancestors. I'm not saying it is wrong to be vegan, it is your choice and I have no say in it, but it IS natural for humans to eat meat.

  • @XeroK Not really. Lobster tastes like anything you put on it.

  • @drcoolguy i know how to cook a rabbit i am a trainee chief at my college

  • you don't do that if you freeze it you will lose some of the flavor, and you don't slice it that way as well, you have to STAB the lobster in the back of the head no slicing. this is the best way

  • Thank you for making this video. I hate the idea of boiling or steaming a lobster alive. I saw this method done on FoodNetwork. I can't remember if it was Bobby Flay or Alton Brown. Thanks again!

  • @XeroK oh, well how would you feel if YOU were the lobster in the video?

i really dont think that would feel nice.

  • @randompug14 Well, I sure would feel bad, but I'm not, and I'm not planning to become a lobster.

  • Comment removed

  • I am never eating lobster again......wait i never have eaten it before....ok NEVERMIND! :)

  • @XeroK God put food on earth to be eaten, if you don't torture it before you do so, there is nothing wrong with eating an animal, but i do feel its wrong to cook/eat any animal while its still alive.

  • SAW

  • Lol wow...Kids, please wake up and realize this is how things work in the world we live in. Most of you probably like meat, and by your "logic" you must not mind the process behind getting chicken, beef, pork or anything else to your plate...So please, shut up? -.-

  • Asesinaste a la langosta!!!! pobre de sus hijos langostitos..... los dejaste huerfanos... cuando te metas al mar sus hijos langostitos te van a picar tus deditos por haber matato a a su mama langostita.... buuuuuuu!

  • Very human !

  • Wow this is so humane.

  • 0:07

    lobster: i'm sooo dead!

  • @BeybladinKayleen

    WTF?

    No.

  • Actually I heard that lobsters don't feel much pain when they're being boiled.....:S

  • As soon as my lobsters are caught (We live in a lobster-fishing community), I just chuck them in a big ole pot, add a bit of water, pour some salt, and then steamed(Alive).

  • @alexross8 ^ the correct way

  • Thank God there aren't any sugar crystals in this video.

  • God made food for people and lobster is not an exception... remember when God ordered some of his diciples to kill a sheep... so killing a sheep or a lobster is natural because thats a gift from God for us to live.

  • damn! i love lobster but I hope i don't have to kill them!

  • murderer!!

  • 1:04

  • 1:06

  • 1:05

  • the question is whether or not "humane" applies to animals

  • @MrNaryal Its common sense..

  • Oh yeah, freeze it near-to-death before sticking a knife though its temple.. Very humane :)

  • @DemokratOnur When it freezes is basically goes to sleep. So it's not even conscious when the knife goes into its brain.

  • @DemokratOnur

Lobsters are not like humans. They are ectotherms, meaning that their metabolism is controlled by the environment. Freezing a lobster (not completely) will not cause it to suffer. Rather, it will simply adjust their metabolism to set it at a slower rate.

  • @sega31098 : I didn't actually know that + admit I should have researched more into the topic before commenting, but still it just doesn't look that very plesant :/ Though I guess it has to be killed somehow so, i'm all for the most pain-free way :)

  • @DemokratOnur really?

  • @DemokratOnur oh shut up you baby

  • press 8 for a shiver down your spine

  • @414Gianna a frozee lobster is sleeping, a live lobster in boiling water is not.

  • No wonder the lobster was crabby, it had a splitting headache!

  • @414Gianna do you really not know the difference between being a bit cold and being in boiling water ?

  • it's called; going out; fishing it; bringing it home; throw it on the grill; eat........

  • @ZombyGenocide1 Oh my gosh! You throw fish on the grill without killing them first???? I am so glad I am not an animal, fish, etc!

  • @PlanoPrincess killing them in prep makes there intestines let go inside them?

  • oh yeah freeze it for 24hrs that humane ........ so ppl man!

  • @MrCalimexguy how did twenty minutes become twenty four hours in your head ?

  • @jimmatt2311 ok ok i heard wrong, but still 20 min is too much i ,

  • Meh, an easier way, i just chuck it on a BBQ, while alive

  • You should have not killed

    Just boil it alive

  • lol "humane", its a damn lobster, who cares.

  • so, freezing a lobster for 20 minutes is humane?

  • @SpadeAce90 it basically puts them to sleep

the water these lobsters dwell in is almost as cold

  • @j3buswtf u really didn't think before u reply huh?

  • @SpadeAce90 lobsters typically go into hibernation mode in waters around 4C (almost freezing). Putting it in the freezer for 20 minutes is simply going to slow the lobster down and numb it. Certainly a much better fate then being dropped into a pot of boiling water.

Perhaps maybe you didn't think before your reply huh?

  • @j3buswtf so ur saying they sleep all the time in the water as cold as that fridge?

how do u know its sleeping? u speak lobster?

  • @SpadeAce90 Just stop replying, you're too ignorant.

  • @j3buswtf speak for yourself

  • @BeybladinKayleen most likely when they cut the head the seafood gets cook and taste not fresh maybe when they kill it in boiling water and it still taste fresh from not being in so much

  • wow yeah.. just go a head and freeze it.. that's nice..

  • @ASV343 Never too late to begin!

  • i dont think freezing it alive for 20 mins is a humane way to kill it lol

  • @bm5891 I read somewhere that since it is cold blooded it is the equivalent of aneshthesia (hope I spelt that correctly). A vet told me that that is the way that they "put down" lizards etc... Also for people saying there is no humane way to kill, there is a difference between humane as an objective term and more humane or most humane which is a gradation. Thus this is the most humane way to kill a lobster ie. the least pain. Whether or not you believe eating all animals is wrong is irrelevant.

  • @dorkysushi You could tell the same about pigs.

  • @ASV343 Because they taste good, plus, crabs and lobsters are literally the cockroaches of the sea.

  • The lady and the kitchen setting looked like something straight out of a Food Network show, but I don't think I have ever seen anything like this on TV...how to kill a lobster. LOL

  • @Lizard5571 hahahaha......i don't know if ur trying 2 b funny bt dat really made me laugh!!!

  • @cteofilo86 Gosh,..I was tryin pretty hard,..so,.Ya just made my day!!!,...Have a Great Day!!,..Chief

  • @xwcg And plus it doesn't feel anything when its numb when it gets out of the freezer .

  • @xwcg Number 1 going in the freezer is better than going in a pot and boiling to death for the next 20 mins, number 2 when you stab it, it dies instantly, number 3 don't comment until you know more about cooking lobster.
