I hate it when people try to discredit her of her live performances. This performance was 100% live. But I guess it's her own fault for lipping incessantly with a billion pre-recorded tracks. But I still love her, and this was live.

@Judgeyy Nah. Grammys is not lipped. The entire ending chorus is too fluid and hoarse to be lipped, and it would make no sense to finish the ending note but not the beginning?! Those E5s, G5, A5 were all live, they are HIT not sustained like the C5.

And I don't see why if the recording is hoarse and fluid that means it's not lipped? It doesn't matter what it sounds like, it can still be lipped.

The fact that she can hit those E5's, G5's and that A5 ("get rough") but not a C5 should be enough proof for you. She doesn't even sound the same when her voice comes in! She's deeper.

i just love this canadian idol one. im not looking for the perfect version of WBT live. im just looking for the one where she is truly passinate and this is the one. Not Grammy's, not MTV Movie Awards.

i think the whole song is lipped... the belts, although they're different from the studio ones, she definitely rerecorded it coz i heard the same belts in another live performance.... but I really think she's just tired, her voice is just tired... she had no problem in doing it live at other shows.. so she must be tired... and her face.. it looks like as if she got sunburn or something

Mariah is OVERRATED! She WAS one of the best singers BUT NEVER WAS the one and only best. There were great singers also. With her current voice, She def WILL NEVER be the BEST. Because she is using flawed takes from the album. And when they lipsynch they are actually singing with the mic off, only that they sing way softer and lower. The idea is that it has to look like your voice is coming out of your throat in that particular moment.

Her awards prove that she is the best in the world, and her voice is second to none. How can you critisize someone like Mariah.
