Make Google+ use wave technology. It'd be WAY better than the facebook style comments, plus it'd be a gentle reintroduction to the coolness of waves. At first people would simply use it as if they were standard comments, but subtly they would realise you could reply to anyone. Down the track Google could ad live widgets in the stream (eg live webcam!). Remember, wave failed because Google waves CLIENT was terrible, the TECHNOLOGY is amazing. Use Google+ as the new client and people will LOVE IT

I miss is a way to theme a wave:

Suppose I start a wave that holds a chess game, then I want to restrict other users from posting their maps and pacman games in my wave. They should be forced to post somewhere else.

If I start a wave to edit a document, then I want a clearer distinction between text belonging to the document and text that comments.

If I use a wave as a forum, then I want the system to force users to keep the structure of the threads. Right now wave discussions become messy.

I had the chance to test it, very nice tool indeed. Keep it simple and people might replace their mail account with Wave.

As I see it, a wave is so different from standard email in terms of functionality, workflow, server requirements etc that is is important to differentiate the two. They are attempting to reinvent the wheel here. They are building a sweet plane that also acts like a trusty car, not a car simply bloated with features.

You have to request an invite from Google themselves... go onto Google's main page for Google Wave, it was easy to request and invite. They might not be accepting requests right now. They need to add users slowly and make sure the system is working right... if they added everyone at once it'd overwhelm the system and probably crash it.

I love it already but my concern is that if this is used in specific organization, the data are not sitting in the company's server. I am not sure if google will use it for marketing or what is so ever. So security in this area will become an issue unless some how we can save the data in our server.......

In the developer preview, they specifically stated that you can set up your own server, and if you're only conversing with people on that server then no information will be sent outside of it. It only sends info to Google if you're talking to someone that's on a Google server, as I understand it.

Because it has more functions, can be accessed from anywhere with a browser, can have hundreds of participants, progress is always saved, has live updates like in real conversations instead of making you wait until the person presses enter, has public threads, etc. It will also be usable with instant messengers anyway so there won't be any need for you to use MSN and stuff.
