  • Awsum!

  • Nice job!

  • how do you hit the guitar like that?

  • @musicloverskillet Slap bass. Takes a bit of practise, but once you get it it's pretty easy. I talked a bit about it in one of my videos on my blog, might be worth having a look if you are interested.

    Wolfgang

  • @Vreci Thanks Wolfgang, nice to see you drop past! Have a go on this one, it's simple but quite therapeutic to play - you can really dig in and get some good sounds happening, I still enjoy playing this one a lot!

    JAW

  • Simply very nice to listen to.

  • Thanks a lot:):):):)

  • You dont have the tabs for the very last part when you on the high strings. can you tell me what your doing there cause I'm really haing a hard time trying to learn that THANKS

  • @guitar123ev Yep, it's on the second page. Good luck with it!

    JAW

  • It's great just one tiny thing you missed.

It's not bum bum bum another one bites the dust

It's bararum bum bum another one bites the dust

Other than that it's great I give it 4.99/5.00

  • @pfootball43 not always though at the begining its the barabum but then it goes to only simply bum bum bum, i play it on guitar and bass thats my source for how i know; also loving queen

  • @tdrider2008 True. I did miss that.

  • wow your really good

  • haha thats pretty cool

  • wow

  • esta genial eso amigo

  • AWESOME!!

  • Really nice! What kind of guitar is that? I'm having trouble finding a nice classical guitar at Guitar Center.

  • Hello ! This version is GREAT. You have the "feeling" to play this part on guitar. One question : I'm trying to play it with my acoustic guitar, but I cannot to reproduce the part you "hit" the chords. Do I have only to pratice or you use some kind of pitch or effect ? Thank you so much

  • WOW, you're awesome!

  • Oke, you're fantastic!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting your vids and tabs. I very much enjoy your style. Do you have an opinion on which songs from your site would be best for a junior-ish level player to learn? I've picked up Goodbye Blue Sky / Anybody Out There and Breathe. Now I am wondering which song to try next but they all look equally difficult. -Cheers

  • Thanks - here comes the sun is a good primer, it doesn't require thumb independence. If you can play that, try out baby can I hold you, losing my religion or the logical song. They all require you to get the hang of thumbing a baseline while filling out a melody - left hand is easy enough, it's just the right hand you'll need to deal with ;)

find and learn the main riff to Tommy Emmanuel day tripper. That's where it all started for me, and I haven't looked back ;)

    JAW

  • Cool tip, found a great video with Tommy showing his Day Tripper version. I think I'll have to dig in and learn that one as well as your Logical Song tab.

Your Pink Floyd covers literally drew me to the world of finger style guitar. Thanks for the great inspiration JAW!

  • Pink Floyd is where I really developed "my style"...but my love for fingerstyle came out of the classical world. Classical is a bit too rigid/stiff (don't tell the classical guys I said that) but it is the door to fingerstyle. If you get into Tommy's stuff you can shortcut it, but don't discount it, we can all learn a lot from those guys!

    JAW

  • Nicely done man!! Love your covers!

  • this is so sweet!

  • i saw this and thought 'oh here we go' but man that was fantastic

  • awsome dude!!!

  • O.o

    Gooood job!

  • cool end

  • I really like this. Why exactly do you use a nylon string? It does give a nice effect, but is it better than steel string for you?

  • I started out playing classical and became addicted to playing on nails. Nails don't last long on steel. Nylon is better for getting feeling out of the strings, steel is all or nothing. I like the extra room on the fretboard with nylon.

There are songs that sound better on steel, but they all sound good on nylon :)

  • Great versions and thanks a lot for your tab. save me a lot of time. Well done mate.

  • nicceee :)

  • jawmunji where can get a power tab...can you teach me...thank you

  • wow...i'm shocked, this is mind blowingly amazing! and you put up tabs....you're like some kind of musical god! thank you :D x

  • this is incredible,

    you are amazing !

  • Thanks! I've already done Come Together, check out my vid.

    JAW

  • In this lifetime of transcriptions you have planned is "come together" anywhere on the list?

You are most definitely a badass guitarist, I to hope to achieve finger style greatness one day.

  • You are the best guitarist on youtube. I'm still trying to learn your tabs lol.

  • I don't know about "the best" but I'm one of the few that put up tabs...and I think there should be more of it, nothing worse than seeing someone play a song that you love and there is no tab! What a shame money always ends up coming into it.

    Thanks! ;)

    JAW

  • hehe, I know, oh well. 'JustinSandercoe' is very good too.

  • good job!

  • awsome jaw!

  • outstanding i play classic to im just a beginner not nearly as good as you a lot of years to be that good

  • I never thought this song would sound any good with a classical guitar... I'm dead wrong... and I'm glad I'm wrong... Sir, you are one cool guitar player!!

  • grandioso!! sos un idolo para tocar la guitarra...

la verdad te admiro....espero algun dia poder llegar a tu nivel..(o aunque sea estar cerca)

el problema es que estoy recien empezando..

    un abrazo JAW..

  • you´re an pro.

  • WOW! Great!^^

  • great tune Jaw..i been watching your stuff for yrs now and i can see how much you have progressed keep it up.. sooperb 5*

  • Thanks Jam, yeah I feel like I've gotten better. Although when I started solo fingerstyle (thanks for the inspiration Tommy) I was already playing stuff similar to it, so it's like a headstart :) If only I discovered it while I wad young, with all the time in the world!

    JAW

  • omg I love that song!

Its like everytime I listen to it my body cant stops dancing!

even with your guitar! xD awesome! 5*****

  • Yeah, it happens - while working out the song I tab it so I don't forget what I've done, but then it becomes memorised, and then it changes as I practise, but I don't go back to update the tab. But, it's better than nothing eh? Besides, nobody should play a piece *exactly* the same as someone else - use the tab as an initial reference and take the song in your own personal direction ;)

    JAW

  • Did you connect the guitar directly to your PC? I have an expensive yamaha guitar GCX-31C but do not know how to connect that to pc thanks

  • Yep, plugged in directly. I've written articles about this, follow the links from my channel.

    JAW

  • Good choice. Never considered this for solo guitar!!!! *****

  • Awesome, 5 stars easy!!!

  • Awesome style.//Phil

  • outstanding Jaw another fav of mine do you take requests its cool if you don't i know you must be busy i just i heard a song the other day call Music of the night from Phantom of the opera it would sound grate

  • Superb!

  • Me gusta la canción. Muy chulo como la tocas. Un saludo.

I like how you play it!

  • where are the pickups? hidden inside the guitar? i see the cord coming from the end. did you get a kit to mod it or did it come like that? my dad wants to put pickups in his acoustic (that is why I ask). thanks in advance jaws.

  • Yep, pickups inside the guitar, factory gear from Yamaha. You can buy aftermarket pickups and install them, there is bound to be heaps of info on the web about doing it. Good luck!

    JAW

  • great job

  • Whoooweee! I love it!

  • Unbelievable!

  • Excellent! 5/5!

  • Wow!

  • Hey Jaw, do you think this is hard to learn? The tabs are easier or harder than the way you play?

I guess i'll have a go on this one sometime...

  • You'd be able to play it easy AA! I was originally playing it palm muted up against the bridge, which meant that I was strumming the bottom two bass notes which sounds great, but then I found I couldn't get the fast melody, because using two fingers is awkward when palm muting.

So how it ended up was my right hand in a more classical position, picking only a single bass note because strumming the bass with the thumb in the classical position is awkward.

    Make any sense? ;)

    JAW

  • Excellent, 5/5 as always. Looking forward to more, particularly Bowie.

  • What a nice arragement. Hey, just wanna ask. How do you adjust the EQ to be able to get that kind of sound on guitar? Thanks

  • When I'm playing live amped I will use the built in guitar 3 band EQ, which then goes through reverb, and then onto a 7 level EQ pedal. Not necessarily the right way to do it, but I get a nice sound - I reckon EQ is *the* most important part of getting a good acoustic sound.

For videos, I do it post processing using software but it is essentially the same process.

The EQ band I sculpt, a bit of treble and bass boost, and careful reduction in midranges.

    JAW

  • Bravo, bravo, bravo.....

  • You "pulled it off". Nice indeed.

    --Van

  • AWESOME

  • Well done Jaw you are a true inspiration.

  • Great job,i'm in drop D and I tried to make that sound with power chords using root notes,0,0,0 (low E) 0 0 3 3 5 (low E) .Is this a difficult song ?

  • That could be easier, since the song is mostly around a root six chord, and play it in D instead of E. I find however when you play in Drop D you need to stretch for G, and G is prominent in this song. Give it a try though!

    JAW

  • That looks fun

  • great arrangement and very great playing. It is f a n t a s t i c.

    Have a good week

    Michael

  • You are so good and you are still getting better!!!

  • Another excellent video jawmunji.

Sounded great at the end ;-)

  • that was real good.

i think the hardest part about covering one of naudo's covers is getting the filler down like he does, n to play it as smooth. what do you think?

  • Exactly. He does a lot of his fills with a slight flick of his second finger, he has finger independence as well as thumb independence! As for his smoothness, that comes because he doesn't need to think about what he is doing ;)

    JAW

  • outstanding playing

  • wow! where's the pickup!?!?

  • Two pickups - one piezo under the bridge like normal acoustic guitars, another i'm the sound hole, a condensor style. The piezo is good for picking up the fundamental frequencies of string vibration, the condensor is good for picking up the subtler sounds of playing. I usually run a 20% condensor 80% piezo mix.

    JAW

  • everytime after watching your videos I take the guitar and play 2 hours straight xD

  • I do the same! :D

    Really inspiring!

  • Excellent! I figure that mostly other guitarists look at my vids, and what could be better than seeing a song you like and here's the Tab! If only everyone could be like that eh? ;) I am getting pretty slack with my tabs though, they aren't as polished as they used to be. Just don't have the time anymore with three young kids.

    JAW

  • That was just amazing!~ 5 star

  • Love it. Good to see another video from you. --John
