Great shooting. As for the nay sayers. I have one. Great for what is designed for. Pick your shot or bullet you use for it's target. As stated #7 bounces of a snake at distance. But it's fun to shoot. 00 buck does it's job. PDX really will do the job too. Am I gonna shoot this alot in fun. Hell no. Cost to much.
I guess I'll have to try that next time I head up to the northwoods mountains and shoot. I've had my SSIV a year and half; awesome piece. Great workmanship, easy to clean, pretty accurate for what it is, for short range. I generally practice with it between 5 and 6.5 yards. Recently acquired the 357/38 barrel in the 4.25" size and also have the 22LR and the newly released 22WMR, both in 3". If you want a quality built piece of USA craftsmanship, buy one of these, they're lots of FUN!
Clay breaks easy enough, and 60mph becomes about 1/4 value to nothing when you have the target coming right at you.
Snakes and groundhogs are a bit tougher.
with 7 1/2 shot mine just bounces off of snakes and groundhogs at distances as close as 25ft.
The only way to kill a snake with this reliably is to be close enough to the snake to be bit. Its a belly gun and nothing more, lets stop all the silly ass games trying to make something into what it clearly isnt.
@jedirifleman .....you are both missing and making the whole point. It was, is and always will be a "belly gun". No one was more blown way than I that it could break a clay.
As for killing power, that is a different matter. 71/2 shot is way to light at that range. If you practice with your gun, you can turn a ground hog inside out with a hot 45lc. Carry a round that is applicable to the distance and game you want to kill, then I think you will have faith in your gun.
@naicam1 I don't know how possible that would be. It only takes a small amount of inertia to break a clay. And of course the question of distance...........if you could get inside 10 yards it may be possible to bag one with the 5 ball shell. That would be a first! A 45 LC would drop it for sure but I think its illegal. I'll have to ask a duck hunter............thank you for the comment, it makes me ponder the possibilities.
@bluerazors dude naicam1 is a duck and goose hunter, and yes it is illegal to use anything lead, or anything that is not shot to hunt migratory game birds.
Great shooting. Just ordered one. The man at the gun shop recommended Bond's due to the cylinder rotating glitch issues hes getting back on the Judge's. The Judge intermittently can not complete the cylinder revolution and have to be manually assisted, its rare but he showed me one with the problem. I Still like Taurus as I own a few, but the Bond is made in USA and has a lifetime warranty!
@santaslayer22 You realize they are shooting these skeet with .410 shotshells, not .45 pistol rounds, right? The fact you got a snubnose .357 from the same manufacturer as the .45/.410 Judge says absolutely nothing about the price of the Judge.
The Judge isnt $900, is it? I thought you were talking about the Raging Bull, cause my friend got the .454 casull version, and he said it was about $880.
@santaslayer22 Seriously, why would you think I was talking about buying a .454 to shoot skeet with? Did you even watch the video before you started responding to comments?
Ummm... wow ok what a fucking asshole. I hate people like you. All i did was ask an innocent question and youre just being an uber douchebag. You need to grow up, man. Nobody likes a dickhead.
@santaslayer22 Not as weird as you going through my favorites. I didn't say Judge because I assumed people would be intelligent enough not to think I was intending to shoot skeet with a .38, obviously I didn't consider people like yourself.
Dude who the fuck said anything about a .38? And what the fuck taurus are you talking about? are you smoking meth? there is no way the judge costs $900
@santaslayer22 My bad, you said .357, obviously two very different things when it comes down to .410 shells not fitting in...either. Seriously, go away already.
@santaslayer22 Yeh, except you are the one who started this whole conversation saying you'd purchased a .357 for 400 bucks. Which is absolutely meaningless when you can't put a .410 shell in a .357 snubnose. And you think I am smoking meth? That's hilarious. Seriously, go away.
Also, you DO know that Taurus makes more than one kind of revolver? Why didnt you just say id like to get a taurus judge and avoid all the confusion in the first place?
Since you are a member of our beloved Marines I have to ask. What the heck is golf ball skeet? Take a vid and show me how to play and I will at least try to play your game. Semper Fi!
It was me shooting, not Kyle. I had to watch it again to see what you saw. WOW! Looks like I'm about to blow my knee off, SPLAT! It is just an optical illusion. Had my knee tucked WAY in. My fist is out in front about 6" muzzle is actually 12" out front. We try to be SO much safer than you would expect.
It would be more impressive if the targets weren't directed toward the shooter and within 10ft. range... You could break them with a spatula from that range...
We shot targets all over the skeet field both incoming and out going. The first footage you see is Kyle shooting from low 8. The target looks closer than it is. Why dont you go out to a regulation skeet field with a Derringer and the first time out hit two in a row like Kyle did. Take a camera with you and post it here. I have $50 says you can't make that pair like Kyle did. Time to put your money where your mouth is. And film yourself with your spatula that would be somthing to see at low 8!
Never said I could shoot better, and to take that bet I would have to buy that derringer and I am not sure the it for me. I think the new Kahr P380 or the Micro Desert Eagle .380 would be a better buy. I think that the Bond derringer is the best on the market for derringers and if I was going to buy a derringer it would be a Bond arms derringer for sure.
I thought the skeets are thrown away from you not toward you. With them coming toward you like that the target is real close, kind of a cheat, to creat a feat.

Finish the beer, toss the can up in the air and fire.

Empty beer cans tend to respond to the wind more than full ones, and you might not hit one every time.
Okay, maybe you might hit your buddy's truck, or maybe put his eye out, but what the hell....
