  • They wanted to change the airport from Hartsfield to Maynard Jackson Int'l Airport which to me was not right. You just don't honor somebody and then take it away.

    This is the right way to do it.

  • How was the name chosen for the terminal? Wasn't Mr. Jackson already in the name for the entire airport (Hartsfield-Jackson when it was renamed from Hartsfield)?

  • When he passed away in 2003, the Atlanta City Council voted to name the new international terminal in honor of Mayor Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Thanks for the note!
