  • nice to have light and windows but with that many windows don't you lose a ton of wall space for cabinets or just space to hang stuff ?

  • @Redshift21 Stay tuned lets find out ;)

  • @millionaire1963 Looking forward to it : )

Gotta go to bed now as it's 22:20 here in the UK and I have to be up at 05:00 for work, see you tomorrow.

  • Points for me! I got the pop quiz correct. I'm loving these videos. Keep it up!

  • @sogotravelnet Then you should have commented ! good for you and me then I'm on the right track .;)

  • Thank you for doing this. You break it down, put it into steps people get.

A couple questions if you don't mind...

-What are the R- values of insulation and what do they mean?

-Do you have a "finished result" model or drawing of the cabin we can see and keep in mind as this all comes together?

-The biggest challenge I see to doing this is building codes, are you going to cover those?

  • @TheDystopiaInside Hi and your very welcome. R value is the resistance of the insulating material (in this case fiberglass) to conduct or transfer heat or cold thru itself .the walls and their insulation slow the transfer of heat and cold in and out of the building envelope.

Because of the inovation process I am going thru I only have a rough idea of the Idea and there are some suprise elements I don't want to give away yet for fun. Over all the building is 8x12x8 with a loft space.

  • @TheDystopiaInside All the framing is to standard house construction. You may not have code issues as this is not a permanent structure but you should adhere to those practices for safety and strength and to get along with local inspectors. So I will be sure to point this out as I go.

  • Love this series of videos and can't wait to see the end results. How much cost do you plan for this project to run? Thanks for sharing.

  • @StraightEdgePrepper There are a lot of micro house projects and plans out there from $10k to $50k this will be much less I will show an accounting of cost at some point .I'm still designing as I go so I don't have that nailed down yet. Stay tuned.
