@jazzyfl1: In many states (including AZ where I'm from) Rock pigeons are considered pests. Their numbers are not really kept in check by major predators and (as you can see from their numbers in this video) they breed plenty. Rural pigeons are said to be quite tasty...I'll have to get out to the country to shoot a few myself.
Excellent idea. You should be able to get in a few hundred shots.... be careful not to become too addicted... you might forgo goose season, and get stuck on pigeons. ;)
We have been shooting pigeons for a couple years in Iowa now, but we can never seem to convince feed lot owners to let us shoot near their barns. Obviously cattle don't get to skiddish around gun fire, as shown by your videos, but what Sales pitch do you use to convince the owners/managers to let you shoot. We always make sure to let them know that we will pick up all the dead birds and empties when we are finshed, and always do.
@keifer33comets Once you get on a feedlot, and the farmer sees that you're shooting safely, and you clean up after your done, it's not hard to get back on the feedlot again and again.
When asking permission the first time, we usually tell the farmer that we help control the pigeons on other farms... sometimes the farmers know each other... and that we noticed that there were a lot of pigeons flying around. Then mention that you always shoot in a safe direction, and clean up after the hunt.
Great video guys!!!! What mojos did you use? One looked like a duck with a birds eye view pigeon on its back. Keep up the business and I can see this spreading and becoming a huge hit for cheap and fun hunting because of the economy.
I've never seen so many pigeons before, where you boys from?

slemely, shooting cripples... Well I dont agree with you.. Watch the new video trailer... Cripple shooting at its finest.....
purepredatorcalls 1 year ago
Great video. the only thing is all ethical hunters eat what they kill, and they don't let cripples walking around in the field. And yes I'm a hunter.
slemely 1 year ago
That's why we chase the cripples down, and finish them off.
