They just DO NOT make TV like this anymore! This show should never have ended and should be recognised for the amazing piece of drama far more than it is!!!
@BessyBumblebee cant agree more.used to love sunday nights at 9.00 watching with my mum after heartbeat.sadly my mum and these progs are no longer with us. think too many leading characters were killed off and moving to saturday nights lost its appeal.if so why replace it with yet another firefighter series?steel river s*** i think it was called.doomed to failure from day 1
London's Burning is the only drama I've seen based on the fire services (and I watch A LOT of TV). It's a shame it's not on anymore 'cause it was really good and had great acting plus storylines that weren't OTT. I guess it would cost too much to produce a show like this with todays TV quality *sigh* Great video though!!! xx ;D
@CSINYFREAKnumba1 there was also a show called Steel River Blues which aired from 2004 to 2005. I like that one too but nothing will ever beat London's Burning, it was and always will be the BEST!
Great tribute clip! I have ALL episodes from Series 1 to 11 on DVD so far and hope to get the rest as and when they are released.
Series 1 to 9 were fantastic, Its a pity from Series 10 there were less and less fire scenes. Series 14 had almost no fire scenes and the whole show became a soap rather than a drama.
Not only that the fires from Series 1 to 9 were real. Im pretty sure from series 10 they were CGI generated to save money, as they didn't look as good as from series 1 to 9.
Only series 14 used cgi. The budget for series 10 - 13 wasn't as big as previous years as ITV wanted to focus on "reality tv" to rival C4s Big Brother at the tme.
@jacobmasta Good try, but watch them carefully, where are the flames? lol. I remember when they used to shoot up out of the windows... lol, yes I do know that when you see a real house fire all you see is smoke (before anyone points that out) lol. The complaint is the lack of flames in Series 14 compared to other series, who cares if it doesn't happen in reality, it looked good on TV!!
@krazeekaz Well yeah Series 14 is infamous for its use of CGI flames (Which I'll be able to surpass when I get my new SFX software. There were some uses of real flames in Series 14, but only minor with the CGI making much of the explosions. But the fire in the block of flats in the final episode looked real.
@krazeekaz thats the problem with modern TV, they would rather make rubbish about people sitting in a house or about people embarrassing themselves on stage, or celebrates arguing in a jungle rather than make quality action packed programs which people can really enjoy. BING BACK QUALITY DRAMA!!! DOWN WITH REALITY TV SHITE!!!!!
Absolute Great vid a fav you may not think i'm londons burning fan buy looking at my channle but i'm mad on it can't wait till 29th june when series 11 come out.
I watched londons burning right from beginning to end. The days of tate and malcom cross to the poison pearce and sally fields day. I will never forget the shire god dam acting played by the londons burnig and it is a deep shame that it had to end.But good things must come to an end, and after 14 years of dedication of blackwalls crews, it was time to call it a day.
no, we just assumed that they had brigade funerals because the next series started with the watch standing on parade and coleman talking about sicknote and joe
If I remember the series, it started with a scene in a memorial garden with posts for sicknote and joe. I think that was the first notification that they had died during the explosion in the previous episode
Nice work man. Well done.

Thank you for putting together this great footage of what was Tv's greatest tv show
my favourite character in the show was Bayleaf.
Sadly James Hazeldine is no longer with us but he was the best.
I love watching the Dvd's of the show.

Thanks for that. Series 14 was quite dull compared to the others. I can't quite remember what the 'fire' shouts from Series 14 were like.
