She was magnificent in her role as Anne Sullivan in The Miracle Worker. What a beautiful and talented person she was. This is a lovely tribute to her, thanks for sharing.
I think the closest we have today to Anne Bancroft is Meryl Streep. But I think she will be the last of that type of actress. Can you just imagine what it would have been like to sit in the same room as Anne Bancroft and Mel Brooks? Two geniuses! How he must still grieve for her. His broken heart will probably never mend. I know mine hasn't....
From "The Producers" (2005) - In the final frame of the final scene the camera pulls out for a wide shot of the theatres and their marquees displaying the titles of the shows that Max and Leo are to produce. On the far left is a portion of the marquee belonging the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The only letters that are visible are A-N-N-E for Mel Brooks' late wife Anne Bancroft who died prior to the film's completion.
Great video! You have a way with finding the best pictures. Interestingly, the age difference between Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft was only 6 years in real life.

I miss Anne so much. It was like we were friends.
It is hard to get over the fact that she is gone from this world.
