I saw them once. They opened for Pinback. It was my first time seeing pinback live. I had SOOOO much hate for OM because they played a 46 min song. Their style is way different from pinback to. If I had listened to them before I went to the show I might have liked them then but they just made it suck! Their set was like 2 hours long and all I wanted to do was see my favorite band of all time. Now I think they are OK

I'm pretty sure Al uses D standard for the heavy distortion oriented Om songs and E Flat for the clean meditative songs like At Giza and Pilgrimage etc. Sleep and Shrinebuilder are either C and maybe sometimes B standard. At least I've read that elsewhere. Guess C# is the only key that gets no play.

I'd love to see Om at a venue like this. It does seem to me though that the vocals are not very well mixed at the live gigs, they sound too forward, like on Variations On A Theme, before they brought them back for that much more stoner sound.

Awesome quality OM footage! I have been lucky to see Al play live twice (OM and Shrinebuilder), all I can say is that I have never seen a musician get so deeply entranced into a groove. It is inspiring to watch someone who is just channeling all his energy into a song.
