sounds great man, but if your settings are how the image shows....to hear how it really could sound keep your main master volume well above the master 1 and 2, and then keep 1 & 2 volumes on at least 3. These amps are meant to play, well, KRANKED, the company techs will tell you the same, try it, youll like it-- just a hint from a krank+ owner. pz. \m/
The nice thing about music/guitar is that there are so many possibilities with gear. What some people love others hate, what others hate some people love.
hey anyone know what i can do if i find my bottom string palm mutes are really really scratchy with the maxon? I set it the same as all the pros, overdrive 0, balance full, tone full. Plugged into a peavey 6505+ combo with a warehouse veteran 30 speaker. problem with blackouts and EMgs. this shouldn't be an issue with this set up, please help :)
Horrid tone :) no definition. No dynamics. Muddy gainy nightmare. Lemme guess. Bass 10. Mids -839. Treble. 10. Gain 13. And od settings. Overdrive 10. Tone 5. Balance 10.
@TriviumCrusader17 how can a trivium fan would bash/rate a tone of something that you could not afford? trivium fans= black people end of story trivium sucks like their fans, plus you aint got shit you are poor and play a shitty 200 bucks guitar
@DaveElectric I know where your coming from....thats mostly bc most people don't understand how they work...mine really pissed me off for a long time. Dime designed how it worked and it wasn't a way that most amp designers would want, but I don't think anyone would argue with himl!! They are mysterious "Kranky" amps until you finally understand the way to make them work right is actually backwards how a "normal" tube amp woks....they are BEASTLY amps when done right and sound HUGE live.
Hey man, nice...would you say that this sounds pretty close to your mic amp if you compared them....what would be missing or is it able to copy everything well...also the fullness etc....thanks
@Anarchyffan Tighten lower end and add a bit off high mids. It's pretty much always used in recording, usually the maxon that is used here or a tube screamer
@RolandFriedrich theyre very unique because unlike over rated marshalls and mesa/boogies, and others. they use eminence speakers like rivera. thats why these amps sound so unique but no one knows that the type of tubes and speakers you get makes hell of alot differences and saves you hundreds of dollars.. like if you make a cabinet and buy eminence or celestion speakers you basically have a 700 dollar cabinet already
fuzz. all i can say. dont likev the tone at all.

I've never really enjoyed the Krankenstein's tone that much, but with the OD pedal it sounds brutal
NecroButcher91 1 year ago
FUCK YEAH ! this is the sound I want .. Krank tears any Boogie down in terms of raw agression ! Guitar - cable - Amp in itself suffices :)

@Anarchyffan nearly every band uses an overdrive to boost the amp, once you try it you're addicted to it ;) \m/

hey brother i have this same amp could you tell me the settings you are using on the amp as well as the od pedal
reinventingthescrump 1 year ago
@reinventingthescrump Amp settings : image. OD settings : tone noon, volume max, drive min. Best regards.
RolandFriedrich 1 year ago 5
Thats like exactly the tone im looking for! Too bad that amp is a little out of my price range.:(*
ChainsawRaptor 1 year ago
are those the settings in the clip? Because the Master to the left of the presence is supposed to be higher than master 1 and 2 to get a good tone.
Main master works the power section. Master 1 and 2 are directly the preamp.
