@chosenmibhar Blame the Grimm brothers; the majority of their fairytales had dead mothers, and plenty of Disney's fairytales come from the Grimm stories (Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, etc). After that, I guess they fell into a pattern. But it really makes no sense; Walt Disney was closer to his mother than his father, you'd think there'd be more dead dads than dead moms in Disney movies.

@chosenmibhar Well, it turns out THEY didn't actually create their fairytales; they just transcribed local folk tales in one convenient place. You know, I'm not entirely sure about Bluebeard. I know I've read the fairytale, and it was in a collection of other fairytales, but I don't know if the book said that it was one of the Grimms fairytales. But I don't think so; the Grimm Brothers lived in Germany, so their fairytales tie into French and German culture. Bluebeard looked Spanish to me.

@starysky17 For Kenai yes it is a new voice actor. In the first it was Joaquin Phoenix in the sequal it is Patrick Dempsey. For Koda it is the same person. But he is a child and I'm sure his voice has changed between films.
