Before 1987, broadcasters were in fear that when a host expresses an opinion, then they would have to let ALL sides have equal time. The problem is the broadcasters did not know how to get ALL sides to present so they ended up not letting the host talk about an issue. So which is better, an issue with one side or no issue at all along with no more talk radio? BTW, the only agenda broadcasters have is money, not ideology.

I think that was great when we got rid of slavery and we gave them the right to vote and woman the right to vote. That's freedom. Actually my position is strong, very strong and I do all I can to get my voice heard. I believe strongly in freedom. I'm a christian, and I will try and tell my friends and everyone about god and try to lead them to christ, but I'm not going to force my religion on others by getting our government to outlaw things I find morally wrong. Instead I will respectfully try and lead people to christ and move them away from their lifestyle, but I'm against using force like you want.

The License holders control the broadcast outlet. These license holders; the boards of directors, employees of the broadcast outlets that control the content are mostly conservatives. Therefore requiring broadcast licensees to present controversial issues of public importance, and to present such issues in an honest, equal and balanced manner won't happen unless The Fairness Doctrine is reinstated.

Before 1987, broadcasters were in fear that when a host expresses an opinion, then they would have to let ALL sides have equal time. The problem is the broadcasters did not know how to get ALL sides to present so they ended up not letting the host talk about an issue. So which is better, an issue with one side or no issue at all along with no more talk radio? BTW, the only agenda broadcasters have is money, not ideology.
