Its a beautiful country, and a beautiful place. I love this Town since 1999, since I watched Jackie Chan's - Mr. Nice Guy, who was shot in Melbourne.....after this, i wacthed JC Police Story First Strike, I listened to the land down under men at work......I LOVE AUSTRALIA....EVER

@eluko79 Thanks Luke - A lot of old buildings have been saved from the developers and their demolition ideas. Many are fascias with new building behind. There is one street that has more classy stuff - will post that soon.

@GeoffJennyOliver By the way - the rail system was largely built with money from the gold rush of the 1850's. Even today it is still one of the most extensive suburban networks in the world. Back in those days the colony of Victoria (now a state of Australia) was like the Saudi Arabia of the world - lots of money around from the gold, not oil.

@beachfrontal This was 7.30 on a Sat morning - its a bit crazy on work days. I might do one of the other streets in rush hour. That railway platform thing was scary!!! Been a lot of talk about it here - 2 in 7 months. People have been talking about 'dead man brakes' for prams, re-designing the platforms etc. Hopefully something will be done soon b4 a baby dies. Unfortunately the wheels tend to turn slowly with these things unless it's a politicians family that's involved.
