  • helpful video =]

  • thanks youtube - for adverts in the WRONG FUCKING LANGUAGE

  • you should put wireless antenea as high up as possible, not in the basement.

  • Wireless sucks , mankind is so ignorant , we cant even do lan properly , furtherer more wlan .We create things that we cannot control and improvise on useless things.

  • @shermanlee85856 Congratulations! your comment is featured as a google search result for the words: "laptop cannot identify connection from wireless range extender" at page 46, the very last link in that page.

  • im talkin bout your wireless networking adapter in your laptop man.... X(

Ide realy like ot boost my range so i can pick up that free open access point i picked up last week... I went over the bandwidth last month... 65GB/Month aint enough for a gammer!!

  • EDIMAX I RECOMMEND AS THE BEST I GET 100 PERCENT SIGNAL ALL OVER THE HOUSE :)

  • AND ........You are WELCOME..!!!!!!

  • lol stop it at 156 and see what the dude sudiophil or something says

  • I use torrents, wifi is a must.

  • 0:07 I wanted to slap him for some reason...

  • So what you are saying we should do to boost our signal is buy a really expensive adaptor. This is just an ADVERT presented by a nerd.

  • Nice Computer backround man Magic MUSHROOMS :)

  • i usually keep my laptop plugged in to the ethernet.

  • You really enjoy those big techy words..."T BORE 15 T" hahahaha...

  • Where did you hide Leo Laporte

  • please educate not bore me to death with the the super nerd alter ego

  • NERD!

  • how can u boost the range of wifi in your blackberry?

  • YO SCREECH!

  • wht is the hawking thing

  • Yea, netgear does suck.

  • I actually reflashed my Linksys router and ran the software to turn my old router into a repeater. So essentially I have 2 routers. One being the router and the other one being the repeater. It works great but not very user friendly. It takes a lil bit of research but totally doable.

  • the ethernet would work even better if u use it to strangle, hang, whip, ETC. urself

  • wifi is great! if you are a doctor, because more people using wifi=more people with cancer=more money

so go people uses wifi it is GREAT!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAAHAAHAH EXERCISE ROOM

  • Attention my little friends !! :This is that we,Computer Engineers, call Geek .XD

  • Hey man how much is that little wireless adapter thing? where can I get one and how much!?

  • .....

    What about you phone?

How do you boost Wi-Fi on it?

  • overclocking antenaes. ahh the world was gonna get here at some point.

  • 1:45 MVPDUDE= VvcomphelpvV see on live.pirillo.com sidebar? (Bottombar) look him up on youtube!

  • @itouchinjail Jesus are you SO stupid you dont even get it? You said "im gonna get a 50 foot cable from downstairs to POWER my xbox". Man you are a fucking RETARD you know that? Fucking ignorant dumb ass, you dont even recall what YOU commented, fuck man go drink more beer fucking nolife idiot.

  • @itouchinjail Yeah because now you POWER your xbox wireless of course. Yeah. Wow youre not some random stupid drunkard posting a shitty nonsense comment, no no.

    Get a life.

  • He would refer to starwars..

  • WIFI is very important these days. If you are a gamer or run servers I can understand why you don't use it but I do both those things and use it. But! Whenever I can I will use cables. I use WIFI for my iPhone and netbooks (which we have a lot of).For gaming I have a CAT6 cable going from our router to a splitter which then sends it through CAT5 cables to my makeshift server and various gaming PC's. Its all about variation. Plus! Even when I started using Ethernet my ping only changed a little.

  • I have that same backgound :P

  • Your a dumbass! And your not funny.

  • @DRUNKPANDA48 agreed!

  • wtf?

  • dude if your trying to pick up girlzs this is the worst

  • i can flash the hardware, but it may be slightly disturbed afterwards...

  • will the satalite dish thing work for a PS3??

  • Your gay

  • hughhugh he said "flash the hardware" lmfao

  • @ryanb788 Um... Yeah. That's the fast way of saying "Update the firmware on the device." Get your head out of the gutter XD

  • @DeltaPhi79 he should have said "Flash the firmware" - not the hardware.

  • @ryanb788 no he said firmware

  • @ryanb788 no he didn't he said firmware

  • ALL OF THESE "how to boost" videos seem to be ridiculed to death....would someone who KNOWS tell me if this is really worth my time to do? my signal strength is PATHETIC. ANY non-sarcastic tips would be greatly appreciated. WHOEVER sends the most successful advice on boosting my wifi strength will get a list of my FAVORITE youtube videos...will make the RWJ=3 show seem WEAK SAUCE in comparison! (seriously, i have the BEST list!!) THANKS PPL...i KNOW you'll help me!

  • try this one sspazify.webs.com

  • Good for a laugh. (This is a joke video, so DO NOT follow all this whatnot to create a miniature "dish. It doesn't work, lol.)

  • the only word I understrooD ( I THINK ) was usb wi-fi dish

  • does that mini WiFi dish work with an Xbox 360 ?

  • loollll the wifii is strong with him,but the force is soft,he looks constapated.

  • nerd

  • what i do is buy a really long ethernet cable, and not have to bother with wireless :D

  • 01:41 some guy was boosting in his pants

  • =3 ima get one and see how many in my neighborhood have unencrypted wifi!

  • shrooms wallpaper Lmao nice ...I had that one before

  • i own this, but i updated to windows 7 and now it wont work :/ so can you tell me a way i can get this running in windows 7??? THANKS :)

  • you have your own fucking show, website, and youtube channel and you still cant afford a decent camera

  • @sonictales69 looks like its a screen capture of the live show he does. Thats most likely why all his videos look so choppy.

  • @sonictales69 made in 2007 - 4 years ago

  • @sonictales69 if he did....videos would be bigger...so it would take longer to upload them...and more space at pc :)

  • @sonictales69 I think its more the video codec and streaming, more than his camera. I believe that Chris gets a friend to record it for him.

  • @sonictales69 ..this video is from 2007. check his new HD videos.

  • @sonictales69 This video was captured from the live video stream at live.pirillo.com thus for the quality.

  • @sonictales69 LMAO

  • @sonictales69 this was in 2007.

  • NEVER PAY FOR THE INTERNET AGAIN!

    WifiSniper Com

    FREE WIFI DECODER BOOSTER

  • @WiFiSniper thats not free, its 349.00$ lol

  • use WAPs easy to use may cost more but if you know what you are doing it will help the bigger the house the better

  • I use the force O.O

  • oh its you again

  • i have a 450 foot mast :)

  • Wireless failed back in 2007, and it still fails in 2010.

Just get a fucking cable: secure, max-speed, no dropouts, no T1/3 timeouts, no added latency, nothing. And, 10 times cheaper.

Be smart, be safe, be cabled. (Wow that sounds like an advert)

  • @mistervanderveer oh so you like being on a leash?

  • @rmhoman I like using my brains and applying logic, therefore I must be on a leash, yes. Everyone who needs 99.9% uptime will NOT use wifi. Especially when it comes to gaming, wifi is just not an option.

This is not because wifi sucks, but because the frequencies they are allowed to work on suck. All the "good" frequencies have been taken. Perhaps learn to inform yourself next time before making smart ass comments.

  • @mistervanderveer what if ur taking internet from ur neighbours?

  • @mistervanderveer Yeah but it costs me $1000 dollars to get a dude to come drill a hole in the side of my house and wire it through the damn side of it, but if its 10 times cheaper, that means that my $160 Wireless N router would really be $10,000? 0.o

  • @johninatorster Dude, are you drunk? What kind of shitty logic do you use? Why should I care that it costs YOU 1000 dollars to get a dude to come "drill a hole in the side of my house". Jesus, who cares? You have no point, and you think inside the box, e.g. retarded. No one knows you or your weird house or the dude you pay 1000 dollar to do wiring.. Maybe you need re-wiring in your head?

The point is, cabled internet is and WILL always remain more reliable, faster and above all.. CHEAPER.

  • @mistervanderveer Heh, good one. "CHEAPER" and one of my favorites was "Maybe you need re-wiring in your head?" It made me laugh.

  • @johninatorster Oh and by the way, by "wired" internet, we mean from the connection point in your house, to your computer. We are NOT talking about Satellite connections or any other form of wireless transportation due to geographical difficulty. The discussion is purely about home connections, assuming you have a cable connection from your provider to your house in the first place. Some people live way to remote to be connected via cable, I UNDERSTAND THAT. But that is not the point, at all.

  • @mistervanderveer Yes I do have wired connections to my desktop computer, but not up to my game room.

  • @johninatorster your personal tale of being ripped off by a con artist doesn't negate the fact that an entire wired network is cheaper, more secure, more reliable, and faster than any wireless technology. You do not need to pay anyone anything to install a wired network in your own home. Do it yourself. It's not difficult.

Anyone who cannot put up with interference and latency spikes should be wired. End of story.

  • @scythelord I cant have a 30 foot wire just sitting there on the ground leading to my game room throughout my house....

  • @mistervanderveer Cabled is just as suseptable to packet sniffers and network router bypasses as any other type of internet wiring. Read a few articles.

  • @Tuckermar10 Cabled is less SUSCEPTIBLE to attacks than wired, this is a fact because wireless antennas create a circular sphere in which usurpers are allowed to "sniff". A cable running through someones home is somewhat harder to sniff. How about you read at least 1 book and learn how to spell words correctly whilst you're at it?

    Idiot.

  • @mistervanderveer maybe in america yes

at my house we dont experience these 'dropouts' that you speak of

    secure? ....wow...just....wow

max-speed? well my wireless modem in my laptop maxes at 54 Mbps yet my internet speed is max 18-19 Mbps cabled or not

Im quite happy that i live in australia other than the fact that some fuck of a kid blew his dick back in on itself with fireworks in the 80's or so and now i cant enjoy the happyness......

LOLZ JUST JOKING SPARKLERS COST A DOLLAR FOR 16

  • @nessnes64 I think this comment speaks volumes. Its just, wow... Just wow.

Anyway, im from the Netherlands, not America. And, again, WOW!

  • @mistervanderveer "And be restricted"

  • @mistervanderveer how do you want to plug an ethernet cable into your smartphone??

  • @Dom24seven

A smartphone is by definition a mobile device. So it needs to be wireless. You dont download blurays on your mobile phone, now do you?

This video is about computers and routers, not mobile devices. If you have a pc which is stationary, why not use the safest AND fastest option there is? Why spend EXTRA money on wifi equipment? A cable is cheap, safe and fast.

  • @mistervanderveer true for a computer your better off with a cable, but you don't always have an ethernet directly by your computer or you have multiple computers and don't want cables running though you house, so its often easier with wifi

  • @mistervanderveer ur a fag

  • @ncdefenceman Nah you're just an illiterate moron.

  • @mistervanderveer what if the router is far? ( like me its like 18 to 21 feet away in parents room and cant move it) when its wired everyone almost trips over it and every thinks its anoying :/

  • dont belive him he uses his big computers to fool u

  • wedding registry? did somebody actually marry this fool!

  • i have 2 wifi routers one downstairs and one upstairs and both have huuuuuuuuuuuuuge antenna's

  • Tin foil under my desk...cant see it and it doesn't have any negative affects so why not?

  • Not the great orator...

  • i changed the the antenna wire inside my rubber duck antenna. I used a piece of a bare conducter ground wire in some installation cable, the one electricians use. basically i unsoldered the old one and i wound a new one with double the windings of the first and put that in it works great u should try it man !

  • this guy is such an effing nerd

  • ahhh 2007 those were the days... :)

  • I boost my signal buy making a cone out of tinfoil and focusing the signal buy placing the foil around the router and then adjust the foil so that it focuses it on one spot.

This is very affective is you do not get signal in one area it can extend your range

True it works and cheap and easy to make.

And I hope this help anyone out there.

  • One should only use as much transmitter power as required to cover the intended operating area reliably. Any more may just be causing interference for neighbors and reducing security for your WiFi network.

  • You should try DDWRT.

  • I like what Devon6687 said in the chat stream: Hey, as far as I'm concerned, if it's not secure, it's free.

  • i know a better way and faster! stick it into ur ass ant it will boost for 200 miles!

  • a lot of routers come preencrypted with an 8, 10, or 26 digit depending on the type of encryption. 64bit wep is ten ones, usually. 128 bit wep is 26 ones, usually and the wpapsk is default with eight ones. motorola, which have had major issues and problems with the last few versions have a 26 digit alpha numeric encryption which you cant crack. if i find a pattern in those i will post.

  • i have installed at least 10,000 internet connections. i would say there isnt really a whole lot you can do except understand what the manufacturer specs are. typically a wireless router can generate a signal up to 150 feet. Linksys is one of the most reliable routers you can buy, netgear and belkin are similar, and dont buy cisco or dlink. also, aftermarket wireless cards should be of the same manufacturer as your router, for the best compatibility.

  • bull shit time waste

  • my solution was to buy a huawei E585

  • by the way routers send the wifi signal downwards like an umbrella so you get a better signal in your house if you have your router in a high spot....

  • Pirillo does my head in. Every video he does is ten times too long and its just ... blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. God, I work with a guy like this by the time he's explained a problem I have it sorted. Pirillo just introduces a bundle of new solutions and scenarios. I could answer this question in a 10sec video.

  • Always enjoy your videos dude

  • I'd just take the routers shell off OC it and then either get a big Fan to cool it or just Liquid cool the thing :P

  • I use a piece of tin foil it got me from one bar to three to four bars.

  • @GamerElemental na put it in the microwave so the truck wit wi-fi can come

  • To further enhance the signal grabbing ability, fill the foil-lined bowl with a mixture of molasses and Kosher Dill pickle juce. Place the filled bowl and phone assembly in the microwave for 20 minutes. When the Fire Dept. arrives, look behind their truck. There will usually be a local TV station Satellite truck. Often times these trucks have Wi-Fi hotspots in them. Ask for the Wi-Fi passcode and log in. Enjoy!

  • @zoocruz1 thats what i do! but im on the fire depos shit list

  • Comment removed

  • @zoocruz1 Do they have to be Kosher Dill pickles? All I have is bread and butter pickles...and they are crinkle cut. Will this work? XD
