I did things differently- as there are lots of cars on tht street I just sent out energy blasts, sent the cars flying and actually managed to take all the reapers out including the conduit. I'm a complete rookie so I guess I was lucky, as this might not work every time and you have less control over not killing the conduit, but it was fun- and it was over before I knew what was happening (maybe 20 seconds?).
