  • Amazing!

  • hurry back hurry back make sure to bring your death certifecate we've been dieing to have you ha ha ha ha ha. ok i think i spelled that wrong : I

  • You, sir are my hero.

  • the way comic book guy would say it "best song ever!"

  • I play this whole thing on piano too. But what notes and chords are those for the ballroom. I've been going, Am, B, Am, B♭, Am, F, Am, F, Am, E, Am. What is it your doing?

  • @pikmin1318 Those are the basic chords that "Grim Grinning Ghosts" is based on, but for the ballroom, the organist really went crazy with all kinds of indescribable chords. Cluster chords, minor major 7ths, major in one hand and minor in the other, all kinds of stuff. I've never been able to figure it all out exactly. The theater organ timbre makes it especially difficult to pick out all the pitches. =P

  • Why didn't you do the seance circle?

  • @solidmario1 On piano, it wouldn't have sounded different (or interesting) enough to justify including it. It's a very interesting cue in its original form, but on piano, it just becomes another slow rendition of the melody to "Grim Grinning Ghosts."

  • @1taken That makes sense. I Like your piano vids by the way. The Haunted Mansion's my favorite ride.

  • Wonderful. Absolutley Marvelous, you have blown my mind away this. The Haunted Mansion is my favorite at Disneyland.

  • Super

  • Good god, I love this so much. Bravissimo!!

  • nice music u made there bub :3 Haunted Mansion FTW X3

I wish I could play like u though DX

  • Very cool! Love the haunted mansion, and have about everything officially recorded for it, so it's nice to hear a new version. Thanks!

  • Dude, 'cause of this ride, I want a Haunted Mansion wedding...I wonder if Disney could do something for us?

  • Must say, I'm VERY impressed with this; you captured the mansion's eerie feel and atmosphere perfectly and I love this video. Lol, I don't have a musical bone in my body so I can't judge, but this is amazing! Keep up the good work!

  • I have a request:

could you do the music for the Haunted Mansion holiday?

  • I'm actually working on that right now. =D Hopefully I'll have a chance to polish my arrangements and record them before too long.

  • Listen to 'Gargoyles' by Midnight Syndicate, i'd say pretty much the exact same tune.

  • Yes - Midnight Syndicate based that piece on the "Grim Grinning Ghosts" material Buddy Baker wrote for the Haunted Mansion.

  • Hey, would you mind doing a seperate video of just the Briadal march? It's my favorite song of the ride. BTW, where did you get the music?

  • Mine??? Don't be scared! I'm only 11!!!! XD

  • I'm 11 too

  • Hey your AMAZING! But I have a question...I'm a dancer who's just now learning the inns and outs of the Waltz and was hoping to use this song for a dance you wouldn't know of anywhere I could find the original recordings do you?

  • Thanks! =D Check out the official soundtrack that Disney sells.

  • if anyone has heard the song smoke and mirrors by rjd2, the second half of the song sounds like he sampled the bridal march

  • he didnt sample anything, especially the brideal march, i would have spoted a diference from the ride music, but there isnt except for the added little thing at the very end of the song i think...

  • wow!!! I listen to this everyday while I draw pictures of dolls!!! Thanks for this beautiful melody!!! When you played the bride waltz I thought it was fake!!! you sond just like the ride!!! All we need is the creepy hearbeats and the "I DOOOO" s!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!

  • Thank you very much!

  • You are sooooo welcome!!!!

  • ah the haunted mansion is my home!

    loll

wonderful job! i feel like im in the ride listening to all this stuff going on

    really awesome!

    :D

  • Gr8 work on the wedding march but layoff on the peddle. It needs to sound choppy like your just banging on it.

  • Ok one of your comments said that you should make a CD with all the disney music rides you know, and I TOTALLY agree! I am trying to learn the piano and I play the tuba and trumpet and I have a pretty good ear but you are AMAZING! Wow, but about the CD I'm serious you should make one. :)

  • Haha, thanks. =D I totally would, if not for the copyright issues. Disney could really come down on me for making a profit off of their music, and I doubt they'd give me permission, sadly. =/

  • oh you are totally right. Well put your own twist on it and call it something else and sell it under the table and then maybe they will never know... :)

  • Haha, I wish. :P

  • Your right they would totally hunt you down. lol.

  • I agree with donnie10855. Could you do the Haunted Mansion Holiday?

  • Maybe someday...we'll see! =)

  • Thanks! =) I believe I did, yes.

  • Howlong have u been playing?

  • About 13 years, though I've never practiced as much as I should have. =P

  • i hear that in some places grim grinning ghosts is played backwards in the mansion who knows where

  • There is the ghostly flute player in the graveyard. Its recorded backwards and then reversed to the original sound but the reversed sound gives it an other worldly effect... Does that count?

  • i wish i have u talent, and that old piano i like make people scary^^ nice play^^

  • It could do with a BIT of a tuning, but otherwise, I think it's the perfect kind of piano for this sorta music. You can't get genuine creepy on a modern piano, they're too bright and cheery in their tones. Older pianos are more dulled and muffled - better for creepy stuff.

  • I like! I like...!! Very well played. What can you tell me about the piano you performed this on? It sounds like it's got a hell of an interesting tone. I'm guessing that it's not a modern piano.

  • haha, well "foyer organ" and "loading area" sound pretty simple, i guess i could learn by ear.

  • Ah, I wanna learn to play this! Too bad there's no sheet music :(

  • Hey do you think you could do Haunted Mansion Holiday?

  • This is pretty good, dude! I myself am an organist, but not really in this style of music. I'm more oriented towards classical pipe organ, rather than this sort of "show organ" I guess you could call it... Anyway, this is very, very good for being learned by ear. I am gifted with being able to hear and play as well, and I'm impressed with this! I'm surprised you were able to make it sound good on piano... I would have thought it would sound like crap, but i was obviously wrong.

  • So this is how you entertain your guests right, just whip out a Disney song. Great job

  • Awesome job!

I'm sure its been asked before, but do you know of anyway to get sheet music?

Again way to go! Keep up the good work!!

  • Good job

  • WOW thats great!

  • lol i keep comeing back to the video and i CAN PLAY THE BRIDAL MARCH i played it for a concert for a school on my own and is there anymusic in doombuggies i could find

  • Wow! I love this! The Graveyard Jamboree was played brilliantly!

  • Absolutely amazing ***** five stars all the way.

  • The way you played the Ballroom part made me feel like there were dancing ghosts around me. And the bridal march was chilling. Wonderful job!

  • creepy !

  • excellent. I applaude if there was an audience, like a live audience

  • the fictional facade, I mean the desighn of the gallery can fit some nice gold pipes into it do you understand what i mean, and the ghost host can be heard in the same sound level as the organ

  • but it seems quite imposible i mean there is a door to the right wich most like ly leads outside or to a narrow passadge-wich still isnt big enough to hold a organ that large a organ, but I may stand corrected the organs pipes can be in the gallery because vents are out of the question for a house of that era.

  • your asking 1 an impossible question. noone knows that answer.

  • I dont talk to him anymore

  • wuld you know what room because the distance of the balroom is prety far.

  • the piano shuld be in the foyer I mean its too small a room to hold a organ that big that plays there. and it isnt even in the foyer. but good job anyway, my favorate was the attic

  • I love it! I have become a bit obsessed with this music since I found the sheet music on Doombuggies. Especially the Exit Crypt, which I was excited to hear you play. Some of the coolest and cleanest harmonies, and Thurl's ending note is amazing!! Ok, I'm done geeking out.

  • ur not a geek! im obsessed with this music too! do you know exactly where on Doombuggies u found the sheet music? i must be retarded or something :p cuz i cant find it! thanks!

  • plus the ballroom waltz i really want music do you know where i could find it or could you tell me the keys like a b c and the orthers like a/b

  • wow i love this one

  • Excellent Job!

  • Ah, you forgot WDW's Music Room Piano! Actually... that's allready in pianio, but it'd be nice to hear your version.

  • I am also a pianist and you realy did a wicked awsem job. just keep on keepen on and you will do great :D

  • Coming from a fellow pianist....really nice job!

I've been looking for sheet music to this, and I was wondering, if you used sheet music, where did you get it?

  • You should really make your own CD with all the rides you can play on piano.

    Your piano playing is Amazing!

  • cool

  • this is amazing!!!

do you have this as a mp3??? I love it!!!

  • Great great great playing of the Bridal March! That's really the only part that gives me the creeps during the ride, and you accomplished it perfectly.

  • This should be called the Haunted Meledy, this is total skilled music.

  • I love the dissonance you have in the beginning. It's very reminiscent of Phantom Manor. I also love Bridal March section. It's so eerie. Also thank you for covering the exit crypt music. No one ever does and to me that one of the best parts of the entire score. It's so melancholy sounding.

I totally hope that you rip the audio from this and make an mp3 of this. I would totally put this on my mp3 player.

  • I clapped at the end! AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!

  • perfect! I love these piano-fied version of classic Disneyland songs. Keep up the awesome work

  • oh its fine youre pieano is good.=(=)

  • so do ya think you will have anything up for youre 3d work today.

  • Please let me know if you do, I would love to play that! So you play this all out by ear? That is such a fantastic talent to have! I can barely find melodies by ear let alone chords lol

  • oh do you know when thurl ravenscroft died he was the lead singing bust in the phantom 5.

  • ok how did you find all that out doom bugies.

  • but the ballroom was gaylord carter. not buddy baker.

  • ah cool I now play what I know and i was playing that tune in my organ setting on the electric piano.

  • The Bridal March is really well played!! good job!!!!

  • For the Bridal March part, your piano should have been way out of tune like in the ride. Good playing.

  • AmazIn!! Yur the sheit, lol

  • Complete awesomeness! Thanks for sharing because I got all giddy as I listened to it. :)

  • Did you write out sheet music for this? It sounds incredible!

  • Absolutly amazing Joe, i was picturing the ride in my head as the songs progressed :D, i reall miss this ride :(.

  • i hope the real haunted mansion is more serious like phantom manor in DLP with rich music, nice music anyways!

    - rlcoolastic

  • Been waiting for you post this since you started posting the piano pieces. Very nicely done. Makes me want to attempt to do the same on guitar.
