I was surprised to hear that there are departments that don't make vests mandatory. My brother-in-law wears a level III on duty and a level IV for HBT. In fact, I can't think of any departments around here where it isn't mandatory...

Vests today are 100 times better then what was out for use 20 yrs back, hell even 10yrs. Stay safe
