  • Nice video, tightly edited, with a great soundtrack. I was impressed. I drove down through Huron County on Saturday. The fields were full of these combines and after dark there was a lot of brightly lit equipment on the roads.

How is corn harvested? Just the cob kernels or is it stalks, leaves, and everything? I've never paid attention before, but now I'm interested.

  • @Ronglimeng Everything goes up into the combine (entire stalk) but it separates the corn kernels from the cob and spits the rest out the back.

  • @CanadianaSally

Thanks 'Sally for your very fast reply. So now I know !

  • what town is this near i live in huron county

  • @werdna939 Londesborough

  • oh and how do you plant the seeds

  • @dogbone222 with a planter dumbass^^

  • @werdna939 ye kinda obvious as soon as i clicked post.....

  • how much land do you have. right now i'm looking at 40 acres. Would i need a machine like that?

  • what happens to the stalks? I wanna farm but its just worryin that the stalks get cut

  • thats a cool video....i grew up south of london and we had 2388 with a 6 row head..

  • its a 9660 right if it was a 9760 it would be a overkill and we run a 9760 with two 750 bu carts and one truck and the combine cant keep up with us

  • good video

  • git er done drive green

  • Love your video, Sally. Takes me back to my childhood working with my dad.

  • Cool Video, Sally. The music is great too. I embedded a link to it on my blog

  • Boy, i think thats overkill for a six row head! That combine is built to handle a twelve row, at least an eight! Not so fuel efficient

  • @Farmboy4466 I think the best for this combine is an 8 because 12 it's hard to handle :D and with 8 you can go faster too

  • @TomescuCalin a 12 is not to hard to handle

  • @Farmboy4466 If they had more than a six row head then the combine would have to idle waiting for the buggys to return. With this set up everything goes great.

  • That combine is going strong.

  • Well done as always. Makes me miss home even more.
