where did all this talk about f1 come from? danica is from the IRL aka indycar racing league which is in america. and f1 is where rich people want to buy talent, because no talent is needed, except you need to know where to break and stuff. and you need to know to stay a football field away from another car or else you might get penalized for aggressive driving.
@jolocke90: Agree! Oh, and guys, in IRL they run flat-out over 200 mph! I mean it's f*cking crazy, they put up laps in the Indy 500 over 220 mph!!! Formula 1 only reaches 180 mph. That is 40 mph (65 kph) of a difference. NASCAR is somewhere in the middle, around 190-195 mph (Atlanta, Daytona and Talladega they can reach 200 mph).
@PhilipTheBigOne since when? at monza the fastest lap is 220 mph. the tracks dont allow for much faster speeds because there not racing in ovals. bring an f1 to talledega and itll go faster than an indy car
@DBDMotorsports: I doubt they'll let them, but they'll go far much faster than a stock car (they are non-restricted cars). Oh, and 220 mph in my country (I'm Greek) is 354 kph! I don't remember seeing an F1 car going 354 (in my numbers) in the last 7-8 years. They reached 365 kph (226-227 mph) back in the '90s - early '00s, though.
@PhilipTheBigOne I'm Canadian and you should watch more f1. At monza they hit 354 for sure, Spa maybe. But again the tracks are restricting the cars from going their real top speed, not the cars. I was watching mark webber do a lap at spa, and he was going 180 mph in 7th gear flat out in a 4.04 G turn, for 54 laps which turns out to be around 305 km of tremendous strain on the neck. Being European, you should at least know they are harder to drive and require more endurance than stock cars
@DBDMotorsports: You know that we can talk about it for a year if we want to and it would be interesting. Look, I respect your opinion, but in order to find out which one is quicker, I think we should let the Indy Cars run at Monza or Spa, where there are high speed straights and high speed corners.
@DBDMotorsports: I'm watching Formula 1 consistently since 2000, but I started watching the IRL in June. You know that at the start you get dazzled by the speed. I was shocked by the speed F1 cars had in 2000, now I think they're slow. Maybe next year I'll think that Indy cars are slow!!! Who knows...
Anyway, neither is slow (apparently), I just pick Indy Cars without knowing the car weight (in Formula 1 it's 620-630 kg, or 1400 pounds, if I'm right). If lighter, it's faster with similar power.
@DBDMotorsports f1 sucks its the most boring type of racing it makes me mad when i watch it...they have crappy rules and theres not any racing going on what so ever nascars are one of the hardest cars to drive...even kubica said f1 would be boring to him if he wasnt racing it he wouldnt watch it...i would go to a horse race before i went to a f1 race
no one is pushing her to do better now. she is not pressured and shes running however she feels like and thats not how it works. tony and montoya both treid to win since day 1 in a stock car and both won rookie year. not hang in back to see if they can finish the race.
i respect danica patrick a lot! shes a great f1 racer. i just think that Nascar overdid it with the "Danica" craze... it was annoying and i think its rediculous

f1 doesnt run near the miles durin a race that nascar does, because all that technology wont fricken last that long! id put any nascar driver in an f1 car, and they would show you that ANYBODY can learn to drive one! and if the drivers are so superior, why is it that the only one to make it is montoya? villenuve couldnt do it, and he was as good if not better than montoya. and finaly, f1 is a bunch of stuck up snobs that think theyre crap dont stink! enough said im done

hmmmm, its a downgrade alright, f1 drivers are a bunch of whiney babies who cant do it, period! (oh my car is lose, hook the traction control up so i can drive it) like i said, id put ant nascar driver against any f1 driver and 9 times out of 10 nascar is gonna win! period!
They have not used traction control in F1 for some time now. The physical strain put on an F1 driver is far more extreme then anything NASCAR will put a driver through, F1 demands better athletes because its a more demanding sport, NASCAR has longer races because its far less strenuous on the driver. Every time you break in an F1 car you are pulling about 4 Gs, 3 Gs in the corners, a single lap like that would make someone like Tony Stewart blow chunks, because NASCAR rarely goes over 2 Gs.
well i think its funny how you say f1 is so superior, yet the only driver from that series to make it in nascar is JUAN PABLO MONTOYA! And as far as tony stewart, he would puke alright, after he won the championship in his rookie season in f1, hed puke because the competion wasnt worth him being there! seems like jeff gordon tested an f1 car at indy for the speed channel, and ran weel enough to make the race there! and oh yea, juan pablo tested a stock car there too, and look where hes at now!
@dmw31 look up jeff gordon at indy with jpm, they swaped rides, jpm in #24 and jeff in whatever jpm was driving. jeff ran within 1 sec of jpm in his own "car". i say "car" because it has 4 wheels like a car but really it isn't.
@dmw31 Ill pay to see you drive an f1 car man. because its not as easy as you think, the cars have to do more than left turns. Dont forget that f1 drivers actually change gears and use there brakes. I'm a fan of both f1 and nascar but dont hate on villenuve or anyother f1 driver, dead or alive. I'm not hating on Senior am i? He was legend in nascar and villenuve was legend in f1. dont cross compare. And f1 cars dont have abs or traction control so get your story straight.
@DBDMotorsports ok, not hatin on anyone! i was standin up for my favorite series of motorsports, plain and simple! everybody acts like its so easy to drive these heavy cars and make those left turns, and it pisses me off! and im sorry but youll not convince me they dont use traction control! i been watchin all racing all ever since i could see a tv, been on crews and yes have driven some! you say youll pay to see me drive, set it up and ill be there!

@dmw31 and besides an f1 car has a faster top speed, faster deceleration, more grip, faster acceleration. Formula 1 would host oval tracks, but the drivers, viewers and spectators would get bored. left turn, left turn, left turn, left turn. oh my god. do yourself a favour and watch a monaco grand prix or a grand prix at Spa. see the reaction time you need when ur going 150+ and have to brake down to 20 in 3 seconds or less with out blowing your engine because you down shifted to fast.
@DBDMotorsports here we go, sprint cup cars make the same power, if not more than f1 cars, using a carburator! no pun intended, but they are twice as heavy, and the tires arent but half as wide! im not tryin to offend anyone, f1 cars are fast, and are full of technology, but im sry, the racing sux! you say it would be boring on an oval, well its boring anyway! dont get it twisted, i love stock cars, but i cant sit at home and watch a whole race either!

@dmw31 You ever wonder why nascar doesnt have tracks outside the US? because everyone realizes that it takes no skill to turn left 4 times, even at 180 mph. not to mention the pit crews take 4 seconds max to do a complete pit stop while nascar pushes 14. sure nascar has the cream of the crop... thats grown in the US. f1 drivers are the best brought in from all around the world. there hasnt been an american f1 driver since like the early 90s. and stop living in the fucking 60s move on to DI
@DBDMotorsports ok, im 33 yrs old, never lived in the 60's! not so long ago there was a series called iroc, maybe you remember this! it was a series of ovals and road courses that the best from every series in the world was invited to! so if its so easy to turn left, why didnt an f1 driver win the iroc championship more than stock car drivers? cause its not as easy as it seems ya moron! and oh yea, nascars pit stops would be 4 seconds if they used air jacks and 1 lug nut on each whell too!
@DBDMotorsports dude, do yourself a favor, stop messin wid me, your gonna lose every time! ive forgot more about motorsports than youll ever know! go be in your mamby pamby land of technology, and leave us nascar HICKS alone! ding ding ding, this match is over!
@dmw31 and the reason why f1 doesnt run for 300 miles is because the driver is constantly fighting incredible g-forces in turns, braking and acceleration. I wanna see your hick ass withstand 3 gs in a turn or braking for more that 10 laps.
@DBDMotorsports well we have to agree to disagree on this one! first off, callin me names is uncalled for, but i am a country boy, and i can drive anything on 2, 4, 10, or 18 wheels! second, if the driver could take it, obviously they cant because you say so, the eqipment WOULD NOT LAST! thats too much to ask of an engine to turn that kind of rpm for that long, period, end of story!

lets look at the real facts! f1 uses heaters on the tires, traction control, computers run the engine, hell they have to pay hundreds on thousands of dollars to engineers to keep the cars running! you say nascar is a redneck sport and i say go climb behind the wheel of a stock car and see just how hard it is! nascar diver drive "real cars"! not a airplane on wheels!
you are right.. if i had my choice of driivng.. i would never chose nasacar.. i would chose F1 racing any day over Nascar.. F1 is the pulling those g's and racing in different countries.. Japan, Russia, Rome you name it.. more fun and its way better than nascar.. doesn't come close.. she is making a mistake.. if she wants to compte with the big boys.. GOT TO F1..

Why Is She At A NASCAR Race?????!!!!! She Fucked Up Indy Cars!!!!! She Should Stay Away From NASCAR Because It's the Biggest Motor Sport in Amercia Ans She Would Fuck That Racing Sport As Well!!!!!

I'd like to see a few drivers jump the OTHER way (like Stanton Barrett is doing).
Yes, Jerry; the Indy 500 is at uh, the uh, Brickyard.
o would u just shut the fuck up mindyfan22k she is a race car driver she can do watever the hell she wants to do. u do NOT control wat she does in her life. if she wants to go to NASCAR then she can go. all u want to be is a damn control freak indyfan22k so i suggest u do this GROW THE FUCK UP AND GET OVER IT.

I'd like to see a few drivers jump the OTHER way (like Stanton Barrett is doing).
Yes, Jerry; the Indy 500 is at uh, the uh, Brickyard.
