  • The whole driving test system in the UK is laughably bad. Whether you pass on the day or not is - irrespective of you being a safe and competent driver - is down to LUCK. Also if you get stuck with an overly harsh or whimsical examiner on the day, you are screwed. Most of the people I know who have recently passed their test have disregarded all the rigorous rules and procedures that are taught at learner level and required for the test. Its a bad joke really.

  • about 3 of these faults are utter bull shit. "unnecessarily stopped at junction" SHUT UP. I have always been told to slow right down if not stop at a junction even if it is clear. Treat every driver on the roads like an idiot.

  • 4 of those were BS.

  • "Unnecessarily selected first gear"!? I mean I do think it was pointless of her to go to first on an empty road but seriously?

  • Watching the rear view mirror at 3:07 made me go for the brakes!

  • i got a real bastard today his OPINION failed me! :`(

  • @khalid027 sorry about that man, happens all the time jus try again

  • Driving tests 30% skill 70% luck on the day whether you get a lenient examiner, a harsh one or quiet road conditions. Should be a system with goverment regulated driving instructors who can see your driving over a period of weeks/months and then pass you when they think you have reached the required standard. To many people fluke a driving test pass on the day when there in reality a danger on the roads, the whole system is totally unfair IMO.

  • fault at 4.12 would have got her a fail with another examiner, thats whats wrong with the whole system it comes down to opinion of the examiner a more strict/grumpy one would have failed her I know I failed for less on my test.

  • I would have stabbed my examiner in the eye with her pen for fault 4.

  • fault five should have been a serious/dangerous

  • I got a serious fault for doing the exact same thing at 4:12.

  • On the one hand (looking at this Feedback/Faults video), I think 'God, that's harsh'. On the other (while I was watching), I actually expected the girl to fail.

Pulling out onto the dual carriageway was evil - she obviously thought she was about to get creamed by the truck - I think she handled it well and I'd love to know what the instructor/examiner would have done? Maybe wait until the road was perfect?

If anything, these videos show the inconsistencies and luck involved in taking your test.

  • i dont understand fault 8.... please explain. (actually i dont think alot of this are worhy of being noted down as a fault, stopping at a t junction where visibility is restricted due to trees and what not should not be a fault but be correct to ensure greater availdability of danger... am i wrong?

  • really shocked that at 4.12 was not a serious fault (the truck driver was forced to change direction)...some are really lucky...

  • nobody follows even one of these rules after passing test .......we drive with one hand on steering wheel, always driving in right hand lane, no indicator when exiting roundabouts

  • 21 ...REALLY?? PISS OFF

  • @akeda2009 i dont understand 21, what is the fault?

  • Got mine a couple of hours... God help me...

  • she made d same mistake twice " speed too fast on approach to a bend " n she still passed? well i wAS TOLD DAT if u make d same driving error dat u will fail! o God help me ve got mine at 10:15

  • Fault 8 - bugger

  • these examiners are hypocritic, they are hired agent to generate extra income for the givernmnet, its not bloody an aircraft F-17 test, examiner delibratly fail and pass ppl based on preferences, mostly skilled driver are often seen being failed while holegans are being passed, SHAME ON YOU DSA, UNFAIR SYSTEM, THE PREJEDUICE HAS GOT TO STOP.

  • @pakroses it is an an unfair system!

  • Can someone please explain fault 8, i don't understand were she went wrong.

  • @ghettogazz if you look in the rear view mirror....the car behind her had to slow down after she pulled out :)

  • @TomJesper Cheers pal, isn't that a straight fail these days?

  • @ghettogazz no worries mate, and i think it depends on the severity...yes he had to slow...but he didnt have to slam on his brakes...so im pretty sure they would let you off with a minor :)

  • I didn't get the last one.

  • @edoardoruggeri1 yea the last one, i dont get it, looked like fine judgement to me :S

  • @edoardoruggeri1 the car behind her when she pulled out was going fast so she hadn't judged the speed of traffic correctly. Look in the mirror when you watch and you'll see

  • @katym131 Ah that's bs. The car was like 200 meters away, she had all the right to enter into the road. It's not like you can sit at a junction waiting for no one to pass in an area of 500 meters.

  • 'unnecessarily stopped at a junction'...lmao you cannot win with these money making fucks!

  • OMG. Lots of fault marking here. Some would be considered as not worthy of marking.

Joining dual carriageway and forcing lorry to change lanes. Surely this is a junction and should be marked as observation as driver has clearly not taken into consideration speed of truck.

  • @AnTreasach At 1:49 it looks pretty much that the hedge on the right blocks the view of the road to the right, and the hedge appears to almost go right up to the end of the road she is travelling on. Nothing wrong with stopping here - the road should be marked correctly.

  • i have passs yopy

  • I don't think new drivers should be penalised for going too slow (e.g; down to first gear on an unfamiliar bend) unless it causes a danger for other traffic....

  • im surprised at 4.12 it was not a serous fault since it forced the truck driver to change lane.

  • @smugtugboat i agree

  • @smugtugboat i agree what would he of done if there was a car to his right???????????????

  • @smugtugboat i agree what would he of done if there was a car to his right???????????????

  • @smugtugboat They're supposed to change lane to allow people onto the carriageway.

  • oh there is feedback good :)

  • I passed mine test yesterday, only got 3 minors :D

  • At 2 mins 5 secs, unnecessarily stopped at a junction - seriously??

  • @tartanwallpaper Once she gets past the hedge on the right she had a clear view of the road, nothing coming, absolutely no need to stop, and when she emerges, look at her rear-view mirror, nothing came from the left! Makes sense to me

  • @tartanwallpaper yes...because it was an open bend...so she could see round the corners without stopping :)

  • @tartanwallpaper approaching the junction she shoulda looked right , left , right. if she had done this then she woulda seen that the road was clear and no nead to stop,

  • Respond to this video... she looked left , right.

  • @tartanwallpaper yeah it was an open junction

  • @tartanwallpaper I thought that. And I'm not even a driver! I'm only 16!

  • @tartanwallpaper I know! You have to stop and look both ways to make sure its clear!!!

  • @tartanwallpaper Thats what u thought? if you just pull out wouldn't that be dangerous? Ive been driving for 20 years in an auto..

  • @tartanwallpaper i would also think that was a joke, there was nothing wrong with that.

Most people, including police must rack up a lot of errors. The test is a bit out of touch with real life driving.

  • YAAAAY!!!! THERE IS FEEDBACK!!!
