But GH and Guitar are 2 completley different things. It may help with timing, but thats it, coz GH is hand eye co-ordination.

afrokidguitarist is right, I play guitar too (gasp!) and for a lot of songs (namely ones with weird syncopation), it helps a TON to play it in guitar hero to get the rhythm down..I've played Protest the Hero and Fall of Troy songs on GH and had a noticeable easier time playing them on real guitar afterwards..
