the easiest way to get the tremolo effect is using Guitar Rig 4 software. It will not cost you money. Just use the built in preset named street of broken dreams and you will have the tremolo effect sound.

great tip on how to play it but Billie uses a foot operated one probalby, and you had to use the knob on the pedal and i agree on what you said about BJ(Billie Joe) in a lot of comments and his music is creative no matter how "simple" people say the songs are because i've tried some o f the songs and they are not simple.

well all i do is turn one knob, and by LISTENING to the video u can hear that the time difference between each consecutive tremolo so to speak, decreases as i increase the value, so it sounds really rapid, and it increases when i decrease the value. and the value i used to roughly get the boulevard effect was 3.2 as CLEARLY SEEN in the video. the highest value possible is 10. i think u need an eye test im afraid...

thats the original sound coming from that pedal, as u see it on the screen. all i do is change the speed of the tremolo, and then match it as close as i can to the actual tempo of the green day use

lol if i can give u one word advice if ur gona get into gtar its this; spend more money on gtar effects and how to use them to give u a completely unique sound. all electric guitars sound the same not connected to an amp, therefore unless ur gona play acoustic, the amp and the effects pedals are essentially the vocal chords, with ur abilities on the fretboard deciding how well they come out as music

well... it entirely depends on ur approach to gtar. if u are fine with the simple effects a gtar amp can offer, and wud rather have a quality gtar. e.g. gnr gtarist SLASH then save up for a nice gtar. if u wud rather investigate the different sounds that are possible thru gtar, e.g. Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, then yeh think about getting a multi effects pedal or lots of smaller pedals.

you can save your money by building delay pedal using electrical schemes on the internet.and its not too hard just find somebody that can help you,and its much cheaper than buying the pedal.just remember to put the electronics in a metal casing! just tipe "how to build delay pedal"and search on the internet, and folow the instructions that you found!
