@vendetta0231 That's practically all you need to know as they don't really reference anything specific in the movie as long as you know who is who and the general gist of what happened (the whole bad guy tries to destory the world/ good guys save the world thing) then you're good. Hope you enjoy it when you watch it!

@vendetta0231 Each FF game is a seperate world unless sepecified there is about 4 games that focus on the world of FFVII and they are all have FFVII in the names so it's not confusing. As for following the movie you don't really need to know anything about the games but it helps you understand more of what's going on as a whole rather than putting things together yourself throughout the movie (like me), and if you want to do so the only thing you need to know is the basics of the FFVII.
