im a 15 hc and have been playing golf for about a year. I have gotten a lot better, the last 4 rounds i have played, ive shot 91, 91, 88, 87 my irons are my strong point in my game. Should i get these or would i regret the idea?
@Gabesly dont get them lol. I conistently shoot in the low 80's. Last four rounds have been 84, 86, 84, and 84. My irons are one of my strong points also. I have these clubs and they are sometimes hard for me to hit. I dont care what anyone says they are just as hard to hit as a blade but i do admit they have made me a much better ball striker. The feel ios fantastic when you hit it on the center but if not hit correctly they will make your scores sky rocket
i won a 3-pw set along with a forged sw and lw for 350 on ebay, they were played for 3 rounds. theyre replacing my cci forged irons, so i cant wait to get them!
Go to The Golf Warehouse website and click customize and just purchase a 6 iron split cavity for only $75. Practice with that one club before buying a full set minus the 6.
@MityMitch Well it really depends on if you need a bit of forgiveness. If you do go with the split cavity. If you do not and you can hit the irons that you have now dead flush every time, go with the blades. And it also depends on how much you play.
Just picked up a set of these Irons, and I must say they improve your game... However, like the guy said, these are designed for a better golfer. I am a 9 handicap and I would say that anyone 12-15 hcp and up should not get these. I shanked the odd ball while playing around at the range and there is not a lot of forgiveness compared to a full cavity back. So if you shoot on avgerage 77-82, these will help. If you shoot mid-high 80s or even 90s. Work on your swing a bit more before getting these.
Ima 10 hcp and tried these clubs at a golf town. all i have to say is damn. I had an average 7 iron of 187 and longest at 215 (when hitting a low bullet 10 degrees off ground). You hear of clubs that fit to a persons swing. These were meant to be. These and the titleist 755
@MedicAlv1 Got mine for 350.00 free shipping. Authentic as well. They look 10 times better in person. It looks more blade like in person than on camera. I'm going to hit them tomorrow. My last set was AP1s which are chunky and not to mention the high launch shaft I had in them. But I got them a year ago when i was a beginner. They are horrible at address now that I've seen these Vr's at address.
not aure about the titleist, havent tried them. I just bought these and there very good. They are very workable like a blade. They have a soft feel because they are forged, at the same time they offer some forgiveness.
probably the split cavity the blades feel amazing but are extreemly unforgiving but have a go with the full cavities they go alot further and they are realy forgiving and still lok good the only things you miss out on are feel
these are wesome gotem yesterday an they are so easy to hit an the grips are ok but tylish,an they are a cool design>

VR TW Blades = Scratch Golfer
VR Split Forged = 0-4 Handicap
So i would say the Split Cavity.
TheHaloMan2009 2 years ago
Split Cavity Backs. I'm a 9 and I can handle these. (However my swing is better than my putting.) Great for shaping shots.
