actually, the silence is a very high pitched 15khz tone which john put in to irritate the listeners dog. the high pitched noise can only heard by animals and some younger people (including me lol), but most adults cannot.....

@OtakuThreeThousand this is what's known as "Sgt Peppers Inner Groove" It was originally on the British pressings of the Parlaphone LP. It was left off the American Capitol LPs. The thought was that this would play over and over as the needle got to the end of the LP back in the days when automatic turntables were not common. I don't like it at the end of Sgt Peppers so I always edit it out of the sound file.

But the backward part is purely random chance. You can find all sort of "hidden messages" when you play things backwards, but they are not really there - it's just our minds trying to make sense out of gibberish. Admittedly it SOUNDS LIKE "well fuck you like superman" but it is just coincidence as are others.

that is just shite...if u read George Martin's (u know the producer for all their albums) account in the beatles unseen book, it will tell u that paul and george (harrison) recorded laughter and talking out of boredom and martin edited it to sound the way it does (and they put it on the album)
