yes, poltergeist report was dubbed ( but not by funimation, so the voices are diffrent and completly butchered), while there was another yyh movie that was not.

Poltergeist Report was actually in 95 i think and the series wasn't dubbed in English till 2002 I think so the voices were completely different because they had no real grip on the characters. You can't say the movie voices are different, because it was the shows voices that changed.

The YYH series and the two movies was dub by three separate companies, Funimation(series), Media Blasters(1st movie), and Central Park Media (2nd movie). And because these companies don't share the same VA, the characters' voices in the series verus the movies sounds noticely different. And the series came out before the movie. And I think your confusing the japanese airing/release year to the english airing/release year.

to put it blunt and shortly: funimation is the best dub and the first movie voice acting sucks considerably.

p.s. People are supposed to try to come to terms with their character BEFORE voicing them, not just speak blindly (which is pretty much what happened, they just guessed the emotions of the voice but the voice didn't suit the character.).
