  • Emperor always takes me to another world

  • It's hard enough becoming a black wizard, let alone black wizardS.

Personally, if I ever become 3 black wizards I will have achieved my goal. How many black wizards was Emperor talking about?

  • Black metal will never die so ppls leave it alone we all have a werid taste in music.

  • Ihsahn´s insane, brutal, mesmerizing vocals in league with sinister keysboards fuckin´spread utter darkness, evilness and coldness the way that true blackmetal is meant to be...

    AVE early Emperor!

  • I Am The Black Wizards!

  • I am me...

  • A Black Metal travel agency commercial. Classic song. Takes me back to the good days, to the second wave of Black Metal.

  • very nice pictures

  • LMAO

  • Some images in this vid are too bright and colorful for this song imho

  • brilliantly mixed drums :D

  • Epic Black Metal 'time-share' advertisement! Fucking classic song :)

    Saludos, aguante!

  • Is it subliminal? ... really want to go on holidays now!

  • When I think of Black Metal I think of Emperor and when I think of Emperor this song!

  • This is great stuff, i feel sad when i hear people calling Dimmu Borgir (not the old one, i mean DB that made Abrahadabra shit) black metal and they don´t really like the real black metal, like this for example.

  • @vavra222 My favorite part is DB themselves say they're not black metal.

  • @ThyRequiem what? They were, not pure black, but black. But every album has bought dimmu closer and closer to it´s end, now they are just seller whores.

  • BUT IHSAHN! YOU ARE THE BLACK WIZARDS!

  • @RyanAndrewDickson read the lyrics first, then you will understand why is wizards!

  • i like how every black metal video i see the first comment is "probably the best black metal song ever"

  • @jowlsteeth Except this time its genuine.

  • @jowlsteeth They all copied the original post ... I wonder where it is lol

  • @jowlsteeth every emperor song you mean haha

  • @jowlsteeth It is because they are all amazing!, :)

  • A new version for me, but sounds still as good as the original. Thank you. This is The True BLACK METAL. >:)

  • @IlwrathAvenger This is the goddamn original -.-

  • hey hey hey people why u dont just STFU and RESPECT for this glory of its black metal, enough is enough!!! Be a man or be a mature.... fucking assholes.... and oh yeah 16 people will die.....

  • @RyanAndrewDickson i listen to black metal every day and they do not all sound the same. if you're referring to the screeching and shrieking vocals that's just a trademark of the genre just like death grunts are for death metal and soaring vocals are for power metal.

  • @RyanAndrewDickson yea you got it. they ALL sound the same. every riff, lyric, drum fill and bass line are all the same. if you're going to troll, at least know what the fuck you're talking about.

  • DARKTHRONE ,IMMORTAL ,EMPEROR ,MAYHEM and burzum are best bands of secnd wave

each band have best influencital albums

its very foolish to compare these bands

    thet all r best

  • this is geni(t)al!!

  • Esta muy bien el montaje, pero la version del In the nightside eclipse se oye mucho mejor xDD

  • Can't believe Ihsahn wrote this when he was 16. Absolutely mindblowing to me.

  • @Illnathftfw i thought it was mortiis! i might be wrong but i think i read that mortiis was the writter!

  • @josapology Mortiis helped with the lyrics, and the bass as well I guess ;-)

  • much better than coffee in the morning

  • puto video no carga

  • @EVIl80017 Y PARA QUE QUERES QUE CAGUE

  • @raynegro jeje no mms

  • emperor is better than darkthrone

  • black metal bands such as Emperor, limbonic art, Ancient, Enlsaved( yes, i know, enslaved is viking....) move on me a spiritual something!! not talking about satanism&satanic clichees...im talking about something spiritual, magical... by the way, true black metallers are the romantic&ecological guardians of modern times but in a dark way )) just listen to the music&keep wathing the splendid pics of mother nature

  • @anahowana I TOTALLLLY AGREEEEEEEE!!!

  • @anahowana

i know what you mean dude,

i fell just like that when i listen to burzum or darkthrone and beherit the most.

  • @anahowana

thats why i enjoy Black Metal, it something that unless you listen to it you dont understand how much of a impact it is. This music just lifts you to another realm.

  • @anahowana you fucking moron!

what are you saying that black metallers are fucking hippies or fucking goths???

go hang yourself in the garden so your mom can find your dead body!

  • @necrofetishist hey nigger homo emo! don't push me to butthurt you! although i don't fuck fags like you i wouldn't mind raping your stinky asshole with a knife. but you know what, right now im in a good mood i'll just let you lick my dogs feet since you are a little stupid pervert who's all over stinky dirty fuckin feet )))

  • @necrofetishist hey fagfag )) see, now you are smiling&in good mood, hope you stay that way.cool moron ))

  • @anahowana Would you two seriously shut up?

    We're trying to relax here..

  • @Thesortvokter troll isn't my last name, take a look at the very begining of my comments, you will have a wider picture.it gives me a migraine headache thinking down to the level of some persons who confuse black metallers who appreciate the magnificene of nature which has affected many black metal musicians,i said persons who confuse black metallers with hippies and, emos&goths!because you appreciate listening to Empyrium while in the forest under a fullmoon doesn't make you a hippy or a satanist.

  • @anahowana Oh, dear..

  • @Thesortvokter don't tell me you are stoned hhh

  • @anahowana I'm stoned..puffety puff..

  • @Thesortvokter oh boy, good for you...

  • @anahowana Just a little joke, he, he, no seriously, this song is fucking awesome and genredefining. Brilliant.

  • @anahowana give me some pufff puff pass

  • @necrofetishist Please!..

  • @anahowana lol your comment just blew my mind :D It's exactly how I relate to black metal too, but I could never put it in such proper words... Also, awesome song! \m/

  • Habrías debido poner más montañas nevadas o lugares sombríos!

  • Honestly, I've been trying to get into black metal for so fucking long. But the production on pretty much every black metal album is so unlistenable.

  • @DrVelvetProductions

That's what makes Black Metal so scary!

  • true kvlt, grim and awesome....if people say they like black metal and can't name at least 3 emperor songs they are failburger with cheez

  • Reminds me of Infernum by Falkenbach somehow.

  • Pics are awesome.

  • im mostly a thrasher/oldschool death metal but ive recently gotten into 2nd wave black metal, i used to only like first wave. i was never into black metals image though, black metal fashion fags make me laugh lol.

  • Sweet baby Jesus, these pictures and drawings are awesome, where did you find them?

  • Probably my favorite Emperor song.

  • This isnt an actual video???? GAY!!!

  • @Xzilust

Lol, how the hell did you expect a video for one of black metal's earlier recordings?

    Saludos+

  • brutal!

  • I don't feel it. not cold and weak. can't be black.....

  • 17 years on still tops my list. Pure black metal forever!!!!!!!

  • I've found Black Metal together with Death Metal 5 years ago. The first black metal song I heard was Bathory - Sacrafice BUT! Almost direcly after I found this song. It is (even tho 5 years have passed) still my favorite black metal song of all time. The riffs just gives me orgasm all the time. All Hail Emperor! Hail Black Metal! \m/

  • I like this version...it´s more pure than the... In the Nightside Eclipse

  • I am now glad I call myself EMPERORkang

  • nice pics :O

  • I'm not trolling or trying to start an argument, just wondering why you all love this music. I'm a metalhead, but black metal isn't my thing. The insturmental is cool, but the vocals sound like ass to me. I just want to know why it is appealing to people?

Basically I just want to know if y'all are hearing things in this music that I'm missing, or if it just comes down to a matter of taste.

  • @bradawright What type of metal bands do you listen to?

  • @Alexito924 Pantera will always be #1 to me, but a very short list would be Opeth,, Fear Factory, Metallica, and Megadeth. Mostly a older metal. I hear stuff I really like in Emperor, but the vocals are turning me off(love the title of this song tho). I'm just asking because I hear a lot of awesome here, but can't get past the vocals. Just want to be sold on it. Really there isn't any reason for anyone to care what I think, but somehow I want to like them, but can't get too into it.

  • @bradawright Opeth are GODS!! lol. But yeah, I was like you but dont worry, you'll get into it soon enough :D There is nothing i can recommend but yeah, just keep trying and you'll find something you like. But for some reason, i would prefer to listen to black metal with Mikael Akerfelldt's vocals, if such a thing ever existed.

  • @bradawright I don't mean to be patronizing or condescending when I say this: I earnestly feel sorry for you.

  • @bradawright You will stop noticing vocals after a while. People put too much attention into vocals because of the mainstream influence that focuses on them. It's also normal to focus your hearing on vocals. BM is not about vocals, it's about the music itself and rebellion against clean stuff. Yet the vocals can also signify hatred and a demon/hellish voice

  • Comment removed

  • for sure MY favourite black metal song

  • @sckit62

    you retard nigger

  • I think this LP is really one of the best. It's so extreme...but...in fact...it sounds well :)

In this LP, Mortiis is playing the guitar. MortIIs is one of my favourite artist.

    Listen...and enjoy!

  • oh yeah this climate of old bm ... vocal is very nice

  • i love the raw sound of black metal like it's kinda sad how immortals new album sound slike pollished, you nkow, i love the classic low quality stuff, and like now they're being dragged into the mainstream a bit, and like emperors last album was polished too, black metal seems to be losing its darkness, and its sad, there's not much mystery left in it

  • sound quality isn't too good, but pics are nice man. and black metal compared to most music will be "low" because most people are too steriotypical, which is sad, because black metal is quite a good genre, but people prefer "cool" to "evil" in music..like rap..gay imo...but ppl think its "cool" ..its w/e tho music is music.

  • disfrute al maximo, viva el black metal

  • Is Ihsahn a rock star? Wikipedia rated Black Metal's mainstream popularity as 'low'. Or maybe that was Viking metal.

  • nice pics dude.

  • And I also think I really hate what Emperor has done after the debut LP. And I listened to Ihsahn's solo work, what the fuck? It was embarassing to listen to, there should be laws preventing music like that, I absolutely hated it. I think it's the common disease that people become rock stars and they lose sight of what they are and where they come from, suddenly they sit with noses full of cocaine, thinking everything they do is genius, I think the Industry kills Music!

  • sounds like Burzum :)

  • true black metal

  • hail emperor!!!

    lml

  • Probly one of the greatest melodies ever!

  • i think this an burzum i am very out of black metal now and this ones are the only one that likes me.

  • @infinitytru no.... but its good haha

  • @infinitytru satyricon mother north is the best black metal song ever

  • @infinitytru this is shit

  • @infinitytru gorgoth - destroyer is better

  • @infinitytru

definatly from the best album ever, Horedanes Land

  • Dorag tun nuthbal rey sangha jel orsin. Maex zal een daik oel tehm iez gien.

  • 1994!!!!

  • Check out Shade Empire for Symphonic black metal

  • And yes Wyndrax, you're correct. Emperor was considered symphonic BM even when they started. This whole thing about syntheizers in BM and the terms for it goes way back, even to the days when Quorton released the viking albums and took another turn in Bathory's sound.

  • Not when they started, but from this period on. "Wrath Of The Tyrant" demo is not symphonic at all!!! Regarding whether synth is a bad thing; you can use flute or bagpipes as long as you do it right. Too many bands follow blueprints and are slaves to their own rigid notions of a scene. Untermensch-mentality. There are unfortunately very few bands that can truly say "WE DO WHAT WE LIKE, WHAT FEELS GOOD TO US, AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU CAN FUCK OFF!".

  • The pictures work well with the music!

  • WHERE did you get all these pictures man!?

  • idiot, shut up mother fucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what did he say?

  • WELL, wyndrax is a jocker.

  • I said that this isn't the best version of the song at all. The guitars sound like the static of an old radio, and there's a serious lack of keyboarding.

This doesn't sound like Emperor, it sounds like a couple of kids in a garage trying to cover Emperor and failing miserably.

  • no thumbs down. any one who calls there self an emperor fan does not discredit Wrath of the Tyrant. whats wrong with you . Ihsahn was 17 or 18 during this recording?. and how old is the recording equipment?. IDIOT

  • I never said I'm an Emperor fan. I just like their first album, and I think there are far better symphonic black metal works out there.

Yes, sure, the equipment was shit and they were very young. So what? The asshole who posted this video said that this version is better than the In The Nightside Eclipse one. That's why I said what I said.

  • there early stufff is not symphonic they got that name after anthems. not in the nightside eclipse.

  • Listen to Eclipse again, idiot. It's symphonic.

  • listen to it again? I own all the albums and there my favorite band I tell you what they are and YOU listen. They were not considered symphonic black metal until Anthems. inno a satana does not make the album symphonic. they use synth but not a tone like dimmu borgir does. YOUR A FUCK HEAD

  • Well, it seems that you don't know pretty much anything about your so-called favourite band.

Check your facts again, my man.

  • what ever i know im right . antagonistic fuck head. they are considered symphonic black metal now or is it under the world music genre but that does not mean there older stuff is considered symphonic all you have to do is listen. your wrong!!!!!!

  • If you know you're right, why keep arguing with me?

And btw, you're wrong. Really wrong.

  • The EP version IS better than the debut album version song, at least when it comes to the tuning of the guitars. Either Samoth or Ishahn has a somewhat crappy tuning in the Eclipse version, although the production is slightly better than the EP (which actually was mean't to be just a demo). Therefore, I prefer a recording with at least decent tunings than a slightly better production but here and there off-tuned instruments.

  • Never noticed this thing about the tuning, but there is definitely something fishy about a black metal album where the synth is three times higher than the guitars in the mix. It is masterfully composed and played, but I am also a bit angry because it has inspired so much crappy "gothic" "black metal-influenced" sympho-new romantic "metal" like Dimmu Borgir and what's even worse. When it sounds metronomic and un-dynamic, with visual inspiration out of Playstation games, this didn't exist in 92.

  • I like Dimmu Borgir, because they can actually make their style of Black Metal sound good, something bands like them just can't do. In general I agree with you though. Too much synth just kills the raw, harsh sound I love about this music.

  • But I feel it's wrong to even call Dimmu Borgir black metal, maybe gothic synth metal is better. Black metal is all about Venom, Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Bathory, Darkthrone, Beherit etc. - Why is black metal just another commercialised music genre for the last 17 years? Everybody sound like everybody else. Boring drumming with no groove. Ridiculous screaming vocals. Where is the guts, the rawness? It's just professional musicians trying to milk another teenage market... The real soul is lost.

  • I go by what the band considers itself to be. Dimmu calls themselves Black Metal, so that's what I call them. I wouldn't say Black Metal has been completely commercialized, but it is heading that way. Best thing to do is start a band yourself and help keep the spirit alive.

  • I'm trying to get into Emperor right now so if you can, try to recommend some songs that I should listen to so I can become a fan.

  • the instruments r too loud u can like barely hear the vocals

  • idrc2, thats the point, thats what makes this song great.. and yes u can hear the vocals/lyrics, u just need to train ur ears to be able to listen to it.... if u still can understand, search the lyrics and try to read the lyrics as it goes with the song, then u'll later be able to catch the words...

  • best song from emperor
