Look people, this is no "Cover" or "interpretation". Cutugno WROTE this song, he wrote it back in 1975 FOR Joe Dassin, so in effect, this is more Cutugno's song than Dassin's, its just that Dassin had originally performed it.

'Es si tu n'existais pas,' and 'L'ete indienne' were two big Dassin singles in the early 80s. I was like 6 or 7 years old when I first heard both. Those were good times.
