  • that was a one year old dog (started dog) had minimal training on "wild" birds. Most of its training to that point was on homing pigeons and handling work. Turned out to be a good personal hunting dog, wasn't big enough for the bird dog circuit.

  • Highly economical Dog. You don't need a Gun or Shells for this Guy!!!!!!!!

  • well i dont think that dogs in training anymore it was fast than the hunter.

  • lol

  • leave it up to a brittany to pull that off lol. I had this happen also to our guides brittany, but the main reason was becasue the bird was injured by a perviouse shot, pretty funny tho.

  • @yoyoma102 It was a setter not a brit. how could you not know that if you bird hunt. #1 the dogs tail is about 3 feet long. brits are docked#2 the title of the clip is ridge setters#3 it looks exactly like an english setter!

  • your right, i was just lookin at the face, it looked orange

  • Thats amazing. What a dog!

  • Ive had similar happen to me with a wirehaired pointing griffon and a pheasant! At least you don't have to worry about eating any bbs!

  • That was awesome!

  • I had a very good german shorthair. I had shot a quail and she was retrieving it and was about 5 feet from me when it flew out of her mouth and I had to shoot it again. whish I had it on video.

  • lol that is really funny

  • another blooper I had with my german shorthair pointer while walking in a field where he pointed at something in tall grass until I came up to part the grass to see what it was (we're not hunting). Just at that moment, a skunk turned and sprayed at both of us. Poor dog with his eyes stung by the spray, burying his face beneath hay fallows...so miserable. I took him home and we had tomato baths. The next day out on a walk in a different area, he shot out ahead of me which he never did CON'T

  • before (being a very well trained bird dog) and I called and called him to come back. He just ran away. Pretty soon I came back to my jeep and there he was inside sitting on passenger seat just waiting for me to take him home. I had left the window only halfway opened so it was amazing how he managed to squeeze through the window to get inside since he was pretty big, full-grown. What a smart dog....he didn't want another skunk encounter!

  • bloopers like this gives me great laughs.....your charming dog having lots of fun! I had a blooper with a collie on a cousin's ranch while taking a walk through a field full of cows for shortcut and this collie just looked up at me, then went off like a shot toward the cows. Mind you, I never gave any command to that dog. He rounded up all the cows that started running toward me. I had to run back to the gate at a full run or get trampled underneath....so I took it home before resuming walk!

  • hehe nice dog!!

  • Work on steady to wing and retrieving to hand.

Your dog can get shot, its happened to many hunters.

Dog looks birdy though, goodluck with your further training.

  • This is an oops, the dog is not supposed t get the bird like that, What if the dog jumped out of tall grass just as someone shot at the bird. Dogs have been shot before this way.

  • LOL

  • thats cool

  • damn

  • amazing :D

  • at least the dog got the bird,,if the dog waited for owner ,theres chance the bird might of got away

  • really embarassing to watch? lol pft someone is sitting in their high chair trying to sound smart lol shut up knob job

  • 100% agree

  • you are a jerk, dok. Guy is hunting with his dog, maybe not a field trained hyperactive top of the line dog, but he is hunting. Not everyone has thousands of dollars to go to pointer trials and such. Your dogs don't do that? Fine. Leave other people alone. I was impressed by the point.

  • AMAZING!! My male GSP's done that, too. Wish I'd captured it on video. Great job - great job - it looks like you had a great day!!

  • my grandads old bird dog was shot dead for doing that. not on purpose though. the bird was flushed and a normally steady dog just decided to leap up and catch it... the hunter was aiming at the bird but hit the dog instead. devastated everyone.

  • AWESOME BUT THATS NOT A WILD CHUKAR

  • that would be awesome

  • that dog is a kepper

  • the hunter is an idiot top flags for the dog thou.

  • that dog like my dog a bit he hunt rabbit not brids :)

  • Fun to watch. It made me smile. Thanks for posting.

  • ok for one you need to learn how to spell you fucking jew. second off you dont know me so how are you so guick to pass judgment you fucking prik

  • better not call him a jew you might be empowering him lol.............

  • Wow, that was somethin else. ***** Nice work! Better breed that enthusiastic hunter...what a great catch (both the dog and the camera).

  • Seen that a milloin times with my cousins german wirehair

  • hunters arent all like that. when me and my cousins go out, we dont even take guns. we only do it for the dogs. they love hunting, because its what they were born to do.

  • looks like you need to be a little quicker lol!!!

  • Quick!! Shoot the Dog! Poorly trained.

  • The dog is IN TRAINING.

  • Yup, in training to catch bird out the air at take-off.

  • you fuckking idiot how could you say something like that

  • when i said "you fuckking idiot how could you say something like taht it was when i was reading someones comment about shooting the dog

  • If it were just a flushing dog, I'd let him do it. But I don't want a setter doing that at all!

  • salma ve yavru kekliği babamda yakalar a.q

  • good :D çok güzel hehe

  • good bird dog

  • that dog is pro

  • lol that was cool.
