I bought one of these at the weekend, but ther IS micro adjustment in the two adjusters on the handle, this will mean you can leave the main rod ajustment where it is and make the mico adjustment incrementally at the handle end, then once achieved, lock it off.
I just visited the Hornady website. They claim this trimmer is the only one in its price range that HAS a micro adjust for the cutter (probably on the cutter shaft knob end). I didn't see a pdf user manual but I'm sure you can obtain instructions
Why didint you take the correctly lengthen case, measure that so it doesn't get cut on the primer then replace the correct one with the oversized one so it trims to the correct length without having to guess?
@deathifacation Well, not quite understanding your comment here. What do you mean, by "doesn't get cut on the primer" ?
Anyway.... Once I have a case that is the correct length, I usually set it aside and save it. So, the next time I need to set up the trimmer, I can then use that saved case as a template.
@TheRem700308win Great point. Actually I do re-size and deprime before I trim the cases. I didn't think about that when I was showing the cases that were not sized. Thanks for the great comment. I'll annotate that in the video right now.

@mrspoyde Yeah, I have not figured that out yet. I have the instructions and will have to look at it again.

1. You do not have to use the Hornady case holder. Just drill out the hole in one of the others.
2. You do not want to trim the case before you de-prime/re-size, because the case length will change when re-sizing.
3. the Hornady set up is better than the Lyman IMHO. I have worn out the Lyman after about 6k rounds.

@1TexasPrepper yeah, drilling the hole is a bit more work and I'd rather simply just buy the hornady holders. Same money.

You need to resize the case before you trim it. Resizing the case will make the case grow in lenght.
