I hated Ed. I was glad Cox fired his incompetent ass. I honestly have no idea what purpose he had on the show other than to be a stupid, lazy intern who cared more about trivia games, Lost, and god knows what else than his so-called "profession," being a doctor. How his character made it through medical school I have no idea. I feel terrible for the actor sentenced to play him. As Kelso put it in season 1, I hope he has a fruitful career after medicine getting his real estate license.
